Chapter 11

"We don't fight fair."

PIA'S POV

I was on my way to the cafeteria to buy my lunch after science class. Lately, I have been eating lunch on the benches while the cheerleaders have practice. I tried out for the team but Leoran said I was too fat to cheer. Since I dont have any other friends, I come to all the practices and eat there.

Leoran and I were getting really close before that day in the cafeteria. After that, we started to drift apart. I needed to do something to draw her back to me and that opportunity came on my way to the cafeteria.

My phone vibrated in my pocket which was odd because i didn't get many texts lately. It was from Leoran and she was personally requesting to see me after school behind the bleachers. I had no idea what she meant by "I have a plan" but it didnt really matter. At this point, I would do anything to get back in her group.

I ate my lunch at cheer practice as usual and Leoran didnt even bring up the plan. That must mean that it was top secret.

After that, I made my way to all my classes. I couldnt concentrate in any of them. How could I when Leoran wanted to do a secret plan with only me? I was full of anticipation all day for what leoran had up her sleeve.

Finally the day was over, after what felt like an eternity. I ran to the bleachers so I could get there before leoran. She hated when people were let and to her "late" was anything after she got there.

I got to the bleachers and started panting. Going on a diet wouldnt be the worst thing for me and then maybe I could even be on the cheer squad.

Anyway, I waited behind the bleachers for 20 minutes and nobody came. The parking lot was deserted and there were no signs of anybody coming. I was about to leave when i heard the firmiliar sounds of highheels hitting the pavement. I turned around and saw leoran strutting over.

"Hi, I've been waiting for like 20 minutes. Where were you?"

leoran just stared at me like I was and idiot and disgust covered her face. I immediately regretted speaking.

"Anyway" Leoran said rolling her eyes "Apparently Aaron and Naia are dating."

Leoran looked at me expectantly like I should understand exactly what she was getting at. I just stood there quietly because I wasnt exactly sure what the problem was.

"So... we have to break them up! Remember how much we both hate naia?" Leoran said putting emphasis on the word both.

I didnt exactly remember why we didnt like naia but at this point, I would go along with anything she said.

"So whats the plan?" I was always hesitant to say things to Leoran because they always ended up being wrong but this time it looked like I said something right because leorans eyes lit up with excitement.

"I thought you would never ask. So heres the plan. Naia thinks Aaron is the only person in the world that wont hurt her, so all we have to do is make her think Aaron did something to hurt her and I know exactly how to do it."

Now I was curious "What exactly did you have in mind?"

" I was thinking I could convince Aaron that I needed to talk to him in the hall. You could lead Naia our way and right when she comes, ill kiss him. Naia will run away devasted and I will swoop aaron up like the sexy lioness that I am." Leoran ended her statement with a hair flip and flashing her best smile.

I could see the evil fill Leorans eyes and for the first time, I realized how mean she really was.

I said bye to Leoran and started walking home. On my way, I thought hard about what I was going to do. Should I go along with Leorans evil plans and become part of the clique I have dreamed of being in my entire high school life. Or should I do the right thing and become an outcast and a loser for someone that I dont even like.

I think its pretty obvious what I have to do.
