Chapter 4

I regain my composure and go and find Ryan.

"Hey Cait whats up?" Ryan asks a little confused.

"I cant do this. I'm sorry but i cant be on the judges panel"

"Uh is everything ok? why cant you?"

"Its hard to explain but i just cant, its a long story.."

"O-ok well i have time if you want to tell me it"

"Ok" i explain what happened.

"Ah i see well if you really don't want to ill talk to the producer and just make it the 3 judges like it was originally going to be"

"Would you?"

"Mhmm"

"Thank you!" I give him a hug. "whatever you do don't tell Keith, if he asks I'm 'sick' ok?"

"Sure" he smiles and i grab my stuff and head to the airport. *am i doing the right thing? I'm leaving without saying goodbye.. i cant work with him though.. It hurts too much to even just see him.. i just cant..* i get on the plane and wait for departure.

-later that day at the auditions-

"Hey Ryan where's Cait?" Keith asks.

"She wasn't feeling well so she isn't coming in today"

"Ah is she ok? thats not like her to not come in"

"Eh yes and no"

He looks concerned "what is it? is she ok? your avoiding an answer"

"She's fine its nothing serious, she just isn't feeling well thats all i know now calm down." Ryan leaves.

"I hope shes ok... theres something he's not telling us" Keith says.

"I'm sure its nothing your just being paranoid. everyone gets sick once in a while so I'm sure thats just it." Jlo says as the first contestant walks in.

-during the lunch break-

Keith goes looking for me. he goes up to my hotel room. he finds a housekeeper cleaning it.

"How is she feeling?" he asks

"Who?"

"The woman who rented out the room..?"

"I'm sorry sir but theres no one here.. they checked out earlier"

"Oh ok well thanks anyway" he smiles and rushes over to where Ryan is.

"Hey Keith-"

"Where is she!?" He pushes Ryan up against a wall.

"Who?"

"CAITLIN!"

"shes sick"

"NO SHES NOT! NOW WHERE IS SHE!?"

"Ok ok Keith she left! she didn't want me to tell you but there now ya know!"

"What?" He's in disbelief...
