Lauren and Camila were walking side by side together on their way to Camila's house after school. Camila held on to Lauren's arm and decided not to use her cane this time. She had to trust that Lauren would remember to tell her about any steps or bumps in the sidewalk.

"How do you think Justin and Shawn are doing together?" Camila asked with a laugh.

"Jesus, who knows. Justin is so annoying sometimes but I guess he's not as huge of a douche as Brad. Although, I still have no idea how they are going to be able to work together. I just hope he does some of the work. In biology, he didn't even pay attention last week. He slept every single day!" The two laughed.

"Speaking of biology, did you hear Colson's question today? He says the stupidest things sometimes." Camila laughed, wondering what Lauren's reaction would be to the boy who seemed to be lusting after her.

"Poor thing," the girl simply laughed and shook her head.

"Poor thing yeah, but he's also pretty brain dead sometimes, right?" Camila questioned. "Or do you think he's cool?"

"I think he's a pretty chill dude. Even though he totally smokes a bunch, which is probably why he's so empty up there sometimes. He's cool though. He invited me to dj at his party this Friday." Lauren explained as they walked. Camila furrowed her brow.

"Party?" She remarked.

"He's throwing a party at his house because his parents are going to be out of town. You're invited, I'm positive of it. He even brought up you and Shawn when he talked to me about it.

"Oh, well I guess I'll go. Only if you're DJing and everything." Camila shrugged and continued to walk while clinging to Lauren's arm.

Lauren looked over to Camila, who sat in the armchair beside the desk in Camila's room. The girl didn't even have to look down at the paper to read, which seemed obvious but the more Lauren that about the life the girl lived and how different it was, the more she began to realize minor details such as the fact that Camila didn't have to look down in order to read. The brunette just laid her head against the back of the chair and scanned her fingers across the paper.

"How do you read that so effortlessly. I mean how do you distinguish the dots?" Lauren asked curiously as she looked up from her copy of The Iliad.

"Well it's pretty easy actually. Especially when you've been doing it your whole life." She laughed. "Here, there should be a small card beside my brailler. Can you find it?"

Lauren looked on both sides of the typewriting machine before finding the all white card with braille on it. "What's this?"

"The alphabet in braille. Learn it." Camila smiled.

"An entirely new alphabet? That seems impossible." The raven haired girl remarked.

"No, impossible is me trying to learn how to ride a bike. This isn't impossible. It's the same as the english alphabet just it's in braille. All of the spelling is the same besides some abbreviations." Camila explained. Lauren laughed and smiled.

"Thanks. I promise I'll learn it." She swore, and put it away in her backpack.

After a few more minutes of reading in silence, Lauren reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone. She scrolled through until she found a good song and hooked it up to Camila's iHome before pressing play.
