I woke up to the rain pounding against my window. I always loved the rain, for some odd reason it calmed me down.
“Good morning Kate, glad to see your up, we need to talk.” My mother said as she walked into my room.
“About what mom?” I asked as I sat up in bed
“Come down to breakfast and find out.” Mom said as she exited my room
I got dressed pulled my hair back in a ponytail and went down stairs to get some cereal.
“Kate, your father and I have an announcement.” My mother said with white paint on her face.
“Did you guys FINNALY finish the baby’s room?” I asked. My baby brother is due in 3 months and my parents are just now working on it.
“I wish! No actually your birthday is coming up soon. And your going to be 14.” My father said as he sat down at the kitchen table with his coffee
“And whose that singer you are in love with? G-Gr-Greyson! That’s it Greyson Chance!” my mother said to speed things up. I didn’t quite know where my mom was going with this but I was sure happy that she brought up Greyson Chance.
