"THE INTIMACY OF THE ALMOST KISS IS OFTEN TIMES MORE POWERFUL THAN THE KISS ITSELF."
"There is a warehouse located in New Orleans, abandoned because villains can't seem to rent a place out. We believe there is an operation with several large-scale villains occurring there. Your mission is to enter the warehouse, and clear it out," Nightwing instructed a small section of the team. The ones that were present were the ones able to go, the others stuck with their normal obligations.
The group nodded in understanding, leaving the mission room and entering the bio-ship. While the other team was chatting as they did before every mission, Kid Flash remained silent. A rare occurrence. He'd been quiet for a few days. Since (Y/n) had stepped into his life again.
When Wally reported to the old team, all of them were spooked and shocked. (Y/n), one of their closest friends and allies despite her short tenure with the team, became a notorious villain. Still, there was an overwhelming sense of relief. Sure, the team speculated, believed, and sensed that she was alive, but that was the first time one of them could confirm it without a doubt.
Flickering with static, the screens at the front of the ship turned on and switched channels. Donned in black, a feminine figure appeared on-screen. Despite their figure being discoverable, their clothing was all black, face covered by rows of static, and voice distorted.
"Hello heroes," the voice droned, "Despite what you may believe from your sadly limited information, I am here to help you today. The villains know you are coming to the warehouse. Therefore, they'll be waiting in the back. I suggest you walk through the front door."
"Who are you?" Nightwing asked, frantically attempting to either gain control of the monitors or track down the person.
"Someone who is done doing the wrong thing. I see that now. But I can't leave the villains, not yet."
"(Y/n)?" Wally questioned, heart leaping in excitement.
The voice paused, letting out a robotic sigh, "No, it's not. (Y/n), my darlin', has lost her way. That doesn't matter now. What does, is that you follow my advice. For your team's sake, I hope you do."
The screen blacked out. Everyone turned to Nightwing, waiting for his highly esteemed opinion as the leader. The hero hummed, crossing his arms as he thought.
"Kid Flash will go through the front and only Kid Flash. If this is a trick, he'll be able to get out and report it to us. The rest of us will proceed with going through the back. We're supposed to take out whoever's there, anyway. But be ready for an immediate fight."
