- Chapter Two -

It's been a few days and luckily the bump on the back of your head went away. Although, it's been a few days, you still haven't quite adjusted to living at the tower, you felt as if you were basically on your own. You snuck out at night to explore the city, but you never stayed out too long.

As of now, while you were grabbing a water bottle from the fridge, as Kaz yawned, shooting out a fireball, igniting the table on fire. Chase was quick to act, grabbing the extinguisher to put out the flames as Mr. Davenport ran down the steps.

"I heard an explosion. What happened?" Mr. Davenport asked. "Did we get attached by shape-shifters again?"

You scrunched your nose in disgust, seeing Mr. Davenport wearing a tight outfit.

"No, but could you cover up? I'm seeing a few too many shape shifting over there." Chase stated, throwing a blanket to Mr. Davenport as he asked what happened.

"I'm guessing a combination of gravity and middle age." Kaz responded as Mr. Davenport rolled his eyes.

"To that." Mr. Davenport pointed to the table

"Oh, well, um, Oliver and Chase were talking about science." Kaz stated as he continued. "I got bored. I yawned, um, something flew out of my mouth, and vàla, I set the table on fire."

"He found another superpower. It's a fire grenade." Oliver informed, motioning to the table.

"Fire gernade? That's lame. I'm calling it my yawn bomb." Kaz explained, shrugging sheepishly.

"Yeah, 'cause that's so much better." Oliver replied sarcastically as he walked over towards you in the kitchen area.

"So, wait, you just discovered something you didn't even know you had?" Chase asked Kaz. "How many superpowers were in the space rock?"

"That's tough to say. I mean, it didn't really come with a manual, and even if it did, I probably wouldn't read it." Kaz explained as he sat on the couch.

"This is just like you guys when you unlock new bionic abilities." Mr. Davenport pointed out.

"Oh, yeah, except that our abilities came from a highly advance infrastructure and theirs comes from a magic witch pebble. Wooo~" Chase wiggled his fingers as if he were a witch.

Oliver shot Chase an offended look, which you couldn't help but smile faintly as Mr. Davenport spoke. "Either way, this is a great opportunity for the team. We can teach them to hone their abilities the way I trained you."

"Superhero school. That sounds like fun." Oliver smiled.

"School? Boring." Kaz yawned, as a fireball shot out of his mouth and hit the umbrella stand by the door.

Chase let out a squeak as he ran over with the fire extinguisher and put out the fire.

"Well, that's the last time that umbrella stand attacks us." Kaz chuckled as you rolled your eyes.

"Well let's get to it. [Name] you coming?" Mr. Davenport asked, looking at you.

"Nah, school isn't really my thing." You declined as you sipped your water bottle.

The boys then headed down to Mission Command as you stayed put in the kitchen, scrolling through your phone mindlessly. Just then, Skylar and Bree walked in from Mission Command.
