"Alexander are you alright?" Burr asked.
I hadn't even realized the tears in my eyes. I immediately wiped them away as he mentioned them.
He sat down next to me on the bed. "Did he say something?"
"He has a crush.." I breathed.
"Oh..."
I could tell he was thinking about what to do. Then, he grabbed my phone.
"Well he definitely won't like you if you don't support him, so I would just be a good friend."
I sniffed. "That's actually really good advice."
"Well it worked for Theo."
"You text him. I can't do it."

turtleboi: i don't know his name, but he's really cute
"He doesn't know his name, but he's cute," Burr read.
"Ask him to describe him."
justyouwait: describe him. maybe i know him.
turtleboi: he has these amazing big brown eyes that sparkle whenever he argues in law class

turtleboi: he has shoulder length hair that's usually in a ponytail and it looks like he's trying to grow a beard but can't
turtleboi: he's also kind of short, but that makes him really cute when he argues
turtleboi: i've never tried talking to him to ask him out because i don't want to make a fool of myself. what should i do???
As Burr read off his texts to me, I realized John's description seemed oddly familiar.
"Burr, who do we know that looks like that?" I asked.
"Umm... You."
I started laughing. I actually started laughing.
"Isn't this what you want?" he questioned.
"Yes," I managed between giggles.
"So what now? He likes you back. Are you going to ask him out?"
"Of course I am. I just have to figure out who he is first."
"Oh! New text!"

turtleboi: i stare at him dreamily almost every class this isn't healthy alex
I has instantly remembered last week when I caught a boy staring at me. He had loads of freckles dotting his face like someone splattered them on with a paintbrush. He also had brown curly hair and hazel eyes that pretty much had me drowning.
"I know who he is. I've seen him before."
"Who?" asked Burr.
"You know the guy who was gushing over me last week in law? Yup, that's John Laurens. I'm sure of it."
"For sure?"
"For sure," I confirmed.
He handed me back my phone and I looked at the new messages.
turtleboi: alex?
turtleboi: nvm it's just a crush i'll get over it
justyouwait: no wait i can help
turtleboi: how?
justyouwait: i know the guy
turtleboi: REALLY?! what's his name?
justyouwait: i'll just have him introduce himself tomorrow
turtleboi: you'd do that for me?????
justyouwait: what are friends for?
turtleboi: thank you thank you thank you thank you
turtleboi: i am forever in debt
justyouwait: it's nothing really, but just be prepared because he may come off as a player, but he's a good guy
justyouwait: he's pretty flirty too, so just go along with it
turtleboi: i can deal with flirty
