"Sir, nasa ER po siya tinatahi yung kilay niya kasi pumutok po. Mag ct scan daw po siya."

"Sige papunta na ako diyan. Huwag ka nang mag alala. May police na ba diyan?"

"Wala pa po."

"Sige. Papunta na ako. Hintayin mo ako diyan. Sino palang kasama mo diyan ngayon?"

"Sige hintayin niyo ako."

"Cancel mo lahat ng appointment ko ngayon or tawagan no si Robert siya muna mag take charge. May nangyati kay Berry punta ako sa hospital"

"Sir, ano nangyari?"

"Binugbog daw siya ng boyfriend niya eh. Hindi ko pa alam. Sige alis na ako!"

Putanginang lalaking yun. Mapapatay ko yun eh. Nung makita ko yun na pumunta sabahay sinabihan kosi Berry na ayaw kong nakikita yun na kasama niya. Hindi na nagpupunta yun pag nandun ako. Habas pa lang ng mukha niya hindi na ako nagtitiwala dun eh.

"Hello Rafa?"

"Hello pare, may irereport ako eh. Si Stan Ventura yung anak ni Mayor Ventura binugbog niya si Berry."

"Ano?! Gago yun ah, si September sinaktan niya?"

"Binugbog niya pare."

"Sige. Nasan na ngayon si September pare?"

"St Luke's Taguig pare. "

"Sige magpapadala ako ng imbestigador pare. I fa follow up ko na lang. nasan ka na?"

"Papunta pa lang dun Pare."

"Sige pare I'll you there."

"Salamat Pare.mapapatay ko yung gagong yun eh."

"Hinay lang pare. Tignan mo muna si September. Ako na bahala kay Stan."

"Sige Pare, salamat"

Putang inang Stan yan. Pupuntahan ko muna si Berry bago ko puntahan yang putanginang lalaking yan.

HOSPITAL

"Sir!"

"Yaya, nasan si Berry?"

"Nasa loob pa sir."

I went in the ER, nagulat ang Doctor na nag aattend sa kanya. Pati yung mga nurses. I know I am not supposed to be there but maybe from my facial expression they knew I won't take a no.

"Mr Antonio."

Of course he knows me. Who wouldn't?

"Doctor!"

I acknowledged. When Berry heard my voice, she turned to me. There's fear in her eyes and suddenly, she started to cry again.

"Kuya..."

I stood there afraid of what I would say or do. Her right eye is so swollen she barely can open it. There is a cut on her eyebrow. Here lower lip is so swollen, I am afraid of how deep is the cut there. Her dress is barely covering her, I could see scratches and bruises on her arm and her thighs. I removed my coat angrily and strode to her and covered her. I looked at the doctor who is attending to her, silently asking if he's done. He nodded and straightened up. I put the coat on Berry, covering her almost exposed chest. This damn doctor did not even covet het, or are there bruises there too?

"Mr. Antonio, I am Doctor Francisco. "

"Doctor"
He looks a little older than me. Maybe in his late twenties or early thirties but not too old. He was taliking of Berry's bruises and the after care at home. When to go back for check up etc....

"And as a rule for abuses in women, the hospital called the police to report the incident. I hope that you have no objections to that. You see if it was my sister I ...."

"Excuse me Doctor, when I learned that my sister was hit by that asshole I immediately called the police to report it. As a matter of fact they are on their way to investigate. Of course I will not let anyone do that to her. It's a common knowledge that I practically raised her and supported her since our parents died and who on his right mind would think I will let this pass? I don't care who the asshole is because I would let him pay no matter how it takes because if no one would let him, God forbids, I will kill him myself. Now do I make myself clear here Doctor?"

"I'm glad we're on the same boat here Mr. Antonio."

"Thank you for your concern Doctor, but I am alone here and I will make that animal pay for what he did to Berry. Anything more? Can I go to my sister now?"

"Yes, that would be it, Mr Antonio."

I angrily strode away from him and went to where Berry is lying.

"Berry?"

"Kuya."
