I Am An It

I am an it,
Not a what or a who,
I am a thing,
I am unlike you,
For two letters am I,
It's yourself with less letters too,
And while a letter we can read,
There are lines if you'll see a few.

I am an it,
I don't stand,
Nor do I sit,
I am a thing,
I don't lie,
I can't sing,
I am an object,
We do nothing,
But are full of regret,
Not made of something,
There is no meaning.

I am an it,
Simple as it sounds,
I am complex,
I'm my own pronouns,
I am not human,
So emotions play not part,
I am like an ocean,
With no end and no start,
Because when you're an it,
You have no plot,
When you're like me,
Your insides will rot.

I am just it,
I'm not a big deal,
I am nothing,
Of no concern to you,
I am an it,
I accept my name,
I am nothing,
I have myself to blame.
