Colorful Greys

Make me nostalgic,
For something I've never had,
A good long life,
A happy loving dad,
I want to feel better,
But I always feel sad,
I wish I could change,
Like I never have.

Make me feel lonely,
Like I am today,
Or find someone new,
Let the edges fray,
I wish I was smiling,
In the pictures you take,
I want to be happy,
I want you to stay.

I feel anxious,
In the best of ways,
I wished you'd love me,
Until the end of days,
But times have been changing,
How I wish I could change,
I feel so drained,
Full of colorful greys.

I wish for you,
But I have the worst luck,
So I am lonely again,
My ship has sunk,
I am not pretty,
I am just stuck,
Hide behind lies and truth,
Like your broken truck.

Some people breathe,
Some people drown out,
Some like to whisper,
Inside they shout,
I feel like starting new,
But I am without,
Someone that's in love with me,
The pages strung about.

I am sad,
I am blue,
But you see,
You are blue too,
Devoid of colors,
But so many are new,
Some people love each other,
I just loved you.
