Your First Day of Work {2}

  "Girl, go to work already!! I gotta go and get some more time in at the range."

  Let's just say: Floyd wasn't very helpful on your first day of your new job. If anything, he wasn't comforting you like you wanted him to. You were afraid, but only because you would be working alongside your ex-boyfriend.
  You weren't aware of this, until one of the employees told you who all was going to be there. You wanted Floyd to at least bring you to work and take your car back home, but Floyd only seemed concerned with making targets today.

  You sighed and said,"Baby, can you at least drive me to my new job? You're supposed to be supportive. Please?"

  Floyd sighed, and you recognized that sigh. It was the sigh that told you that there wasn't really a point in saying anything else to Floyd, because he wasn't going to hear the rest.

  You made your way up the stairs slowly, and tears fell down my face, but you just grabbed your purse and keys.
  Once you made it down the last step, Floyd was at the door. Did he hear you or was it just because you needed to move your car, just so he could get to his own?

  You went to walk past him, but Floyd pulled you back and said,"Hey, are those tears? Aww, baby girl, I am so sorry. Look at me."

  You looked at Floyd, and he wiped your tears before he said,"You'll have a great first day of work, and I'll take you. Don't cry, okay? I love you."

  I smiled weakly at Floyd and said,"I..I love you, too, Lawton."

  Floyd smiled and took your car keys from you before he drove you to work.

  ○ Captain Boomerang ○

  "I am going to miss you so much, Harkness."

  Digger chuckled and kissed you saying,"I will miss you, too, darling, but you will only be gone for 8 hours. Relax, love, you will be fine."

  You didn't feel fine because you were most definitely not a social person. It was like a rollercoaster trying to get you to have an actual conversation with anyone other than your friends and family.

  You sent Digger a blank look, and he pulled you close saying,"All you have to do is stay on task and show everyone that glamorous and amazing personality you have. Darling, just know that I will be rooting for you!"

  You put your hand over your heart and stroked Digger's cheek saying,"Really? When I get back, we can cuddle and sleep all day?"

  Digger chuckled and kissed your forehead saying,"Sure thing, love. Sure thing. Bye."

  You blew Digger a kiss and waved goodbye to Digger, then you left for your first day of work.

   ☆ Enchantress ☆

  "Y/N, darling, you will be fine. Stop worrying and get to work, while I get to my own on time."

  You felt a little relieved, but not entirely. You sighed and continued getting dressed, but you felt June come up behind you.

  She wrapped her arms around you and kissed your cheek saying,"I know you are really afraid of your power, N/N, but nothing will happen, and you will show those around you what makes you so special. You can do this. I have faith in you."

  You nodded, and June held up her hands. You smiled and put yours over her own. June intertwined her fingers with yours, then the two of you smiled down at your hands.

  June leaned in and placed a kiss on your lips, then she slowly pulled away and put her forehead on yours saying,"I love you. Go ahead and get to your job, so you can be early."

  You gave June one more kiss before you made your way down the stairs to get ready to leave.

   ● Katana ●

  "Kat, what happened? I only have 2 hours till I have to get to work."

  When you were about to leave to go to work, you were faced with a hurt Katana. You led her over to the couch immediately and tended to her wounds.
  Luckily, she didn't need to go to the hospital and would only need some hours of rest. Unfortunately, you wouldn't be able to stay and help her for much longer.

  Katana stayed quiet and you figured she was not going to talk, so you just stayed quiet yourself and laid down with her.
  Katana leaned into you and held your hands, while you whispered encouraging words into her ears and Katana slowly fell asleep.

  You got up carefully and wrapped a cover around her, then you kissed her forehead and made your way out the door.

  □ Killer Croc □

  Ha! You didn't have a job, so there was no way you were going to get ready for one. You highly doubted that a company would hire someone who was basically half animal.
  At this very moment, you were resting your head on Croc's chest and Croc was running his claws or scaly hands through your hair. Luckily, he hasn't cut you or anything yet.

  You just relaxed and let out a sigh in relief before Croc said,"I love you."

  You smiled up at Croc and said,"I love you, more, Croc. I love you, more. What?"

  Croc pulled you closer to him and shook his head before he continued to try to relax and spend more time with you.
