~Chapter 3: What's In Mystery Meat?~
The day went by fast that I don't even remember going to bed last night. But then my alarm goes off and I lift my arm so it hovers over my alarm and I slam it down so my alarm hits the floor and turns off.
I push away the covers and lift myself off my bed and stumble to the bathroom. I rub my eyes till they adjust to the light in my bathroom.
I see myself in the mirror but sometimes I pounder the idea of this being me. My electric blue eyes, my brown hair that is sticking up in all different directions and my strong built figure.
I quickly run out my front door and hop in Rider's car taking shot gun while Dani is in the back once again.
We ride to school in silence till Rider blurts out.
"So what do you guys think is in Mystery Meat?"
"I have no clue and why do you care?" Dani say sassily from the backseat
"Well someone has a tude in the morning." I say turning around to look at we and she sticks her tongue out at me
She has never been a morning person.
"Maybe that can be our next video." I say. What's in Mystery Meat?"
I raise my hands to create the big picture.
Dani just ignores us the rest of the way to school while Rider and I talk about our next video.
We get to school and hop out of the car and walk towards the our school. I walk straight to my locker and unpack my backpack. Then out of nowhere a arm comes and takes the video camera o the top shelf.
"Hey!" I say turning towards the person to see it's just Dani
"Well everyone as you can see Jay forgot to comb his hair and doesn't want anyone to see." She says giggling as I try to grab the camera from her
I finally get it back by tickling her and she drops it right into my hand.
"You are no fun." She pouts crossing her arms over her chest and sticking out her bottom lip and I just roll my eyes
I grab my books and slide them under my arm and close my locker and turn to her.
"So is our next video going to be on Mystery Meat?" She asks annoyed
"Of course! I'm pretty sure kids everywhere want to know what is in Mystery Meat! Don't you?" I ask
She thinks about it for a few minutes with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah I guess so." She says with a shrug
"That's the Dani I know." I say smiling and patting her head before she grabs my wrist and pulls my hand back down to my side.
I could tell she liked it though. She was trying to look mad but her eyes showed she wanted to laugh as smile.
"Anyway I better head to class. See you later Pampered Princess Dani." I say and she rolls her eyes
I walk off down the hallway to my first class of the day...History, just the most fun class I'll ever have in this school. Haha why am I lying to myself again.
The day goes on till finally lunch comes and Dani, Rider and I make our way down to the cafeteria and sneak into the kitchen.
"Hey guys we are in the kitchen of our school and today we are going to find out what is in this so called "Mystery Meat"." I say to the camera
We walk around the kitchen looking in pots and pans until we find a huge pot sitting on the stove. Ding, ding, ding! Found it!
We walk over to the pot and look inside. Bingo! There inside is the Mystery Meat.
Rider lowers the camera into the pot to show our viewers the Mystery Meat.
I grab a spoon nearby and dunk it into the pot and pull out a spoonful of Mystery Meat.
"Well I'm going to take a bite of this. If I die tell me parents I love them and my fans can buy my stuff." I say looking straight into the camera
I stick the spoon into my mouth and slowly pull it out. I slowly chew taking in the taste until...
"Oh gross." I say spitting it out in the sink of the boys bathroom
"So what's in it?" Rider asks pushing the camera in my face
"Let's just say nothing good." I say and Rider chuckles
"Well there you have it I guess. Mystery Meat should not be tried no matter how good it looks." Rider says turning the camera towards himself. "Well that's it for us bye."
He turns off the camera and pats me on the back.
"You ok bro?" He asks
"Yeah I'm good." I say wiping my mouth with the sleeve of my jacket. "I feel there's some horse meat in there and some other substances that I don't want to know about." I say as we walk out of the bathroom
"Hey everything ok?" Dani asks waiting for us outside the bathroom
"Yeah it's just that Mystery Meat isn't that good today." I say
It's true I kind of brought it back up and threw it in the toilet. Another way that's not so sweet to say I threw up.
"I understand that because right after you ate it you took off running for the bathroom faster than a cheetah." Dani says
"Haha yeah that's how I am." I say
Together we walk to lunch and instead of having Mystery Meat we just get sandwiches and fruit.
We sit at our usual table and start eating till Jeb walks over and slams me in the back so I spit out my food.
"Hey guys! How did Mystery Meat go?" He asks
I guess he heard us talking in the hallway.
"Uh well it could have gone better." I say
"Come over here and look at Jay spewing out his guts." Rider says taking out the camera
Rider shows Jeb the video of me kneeling over the toilet throwing up the mystery meat.
"It wasn't that good huh." He says
"Nope it was the grossest thing I've ever tasted and I've tried Rider's mom's cooking."
"Good to know."
"Hey! I heard that Jay!" Rider says. " But you do have a point."
After the video ends he walks back over to his table. If you have a question in you're head like who's Jeb well I'll tell you. He is an old friend, an old brother we were that close. But now we are just teammates and people who talk to each other once in a while. Yeah we were good friends till Dani came and Rider and I became friends with them.
"Hey Jay remember yesterday you promised if I played Punch The Hen you and Rider would go shopping with me, when is that going to happen." Dani asks me
"Dude why did you make the promise to do that?" Rider whispers in my ear
"It was the only way we were going to get her to play." I whisper back. "How about after school today?" I ask her
"That sounds great!" She says happily
At least she is happy unlike us boys this is why she needs a girlfriend. A friend who she can tell all her secrets to. Hmmm?!
