Gems that Explode

My first visit to a new land
A place where I soon would
Have to call my home
It felt hopeless and sad.
I had nothing to
Look forward to
Nothing to be ready for
No one knew this
For no one cared.
I wished I could've returned.

Days dragged by
And I still felt
lonelier than ever
I didn't love the place
Nor did I feel the need to.
But then things changed
I met someone who
Turned out to be
So very precious to me.
Loved her more than my self.
I could talk to her forever,
Moreover, I felt like I could listen till
To her till the end of eternity.

I wanted her to be mine forever
For I would give up anything for her
Like the sun would give up its light
So the moon can shine
Brightly at night.
She was the most beautiful girl
Both inside and out, and never could I
Ever, stop thinking about her.
She was all I ever needed

My everything, my precious gem
but never Did it cross my mind
that I would lose
My precious gem to rocks in the sea
Never did it occur to me that my fears
Of my gem being attracted to the
Quantity of the rocks,
Their vastness seemed like
A positive trait to her
Little did she know
That what you see isn't all there is.
Nevertheless her lust for the
Dangerous rocks
Turned out to be an obsession.

Soon my gem left for
the ocean filled with rocks
And I became the person I used to be
Hopeless and dead inside.
Not wanting to wake up the next day.
Shed many salty tears
All for my precious star that
Shone brighter than any other one.
But then I realised
All stars explode and become dark
And all good things come
To a great stop.

But then I realisedAll stars explode and become dark And all good things comeTo a great stop
