What love is

I've many movies in which
Couples fight over trivial matters
That build-up to create big incidents.
And then eventually break 
But I always think to myself
"Wasn't this something
That they could resolve,
Have they thought about
Sitting down and talking,
Really talking, about what happened?" 

Because when you
Truly love a person,
You can never ever
let that one small fight
break down the bonds
Of strong, passionate love.
Because love isn't
That easy to break.
Unlike so many hearts that I have encountered,
Love builds strong walls
Around the people it surrounds.
Love is too strong to
be broken so easily.

What love is,
It's like the path of a river.
You flow on and on for a long time
You encounter the barriers
Of life, rocks, currents and 

so many different pathways to follow.
But at the end, it pays off
When you merge into the
Sea, where your love is
Vast and abundant,
Where it is unstoppable.

What love is,
It's a coniferous tree
That never loses its colour
No matter the season it is
It withstands the rain,
The hail, the snow,
And even the harsh sunlight
For as long as it lives.
Because, the tree, I believe,
Always knows that winter is coming

Because it's this time when
The tree, in all its form,
Looks bright and green,
While other trees feel dead inside.
This is the time it is considered unique
And wonderful.
The tree withstood every season
Just to shine for the winter.

And so then 
I think that love is
One of the strongest forces
In the world,
It is known to
Withstand everything
And anything,
Because in the end,
Love brings happiness
Love brings the caring
And love does what it does best,
It stays strong no matter what.
