After 2 hours of boring paperwork with Baron Arald, Squirt was finally done. As she walked out side she breathed in the breath air, glad to be out of that stuffy desk of Arald's.

"Well thank god for that!" she said loudly to herself. Then suddenly heard someone calling her name. she turned to where she heard the voice and saw Rodney, she waved and made her way to him.

"Finished the paperwork then?" Rodney asked and Squirt nodded

"Thankfully" she said gratefully, Rodney laughed

"Well, I better go, I've got a lot of work to do. Just thought I might see you before you left to see how you went with the paper work and wish you luck with your horse" Squirt nodded and let a shriek of excitement burst out of her with the mention of getting a horse.

"I'm so excited about it getting a ranger horse," then Squirt let a frown crease her face "And the paper work was boring, but thanks for checking. Well I wont keep you, but before you go can you tell me where I can find Horace your apprentice, just need to check something with him" Squirt said. Rodney let a big cheeky grin spread across his face,

"Oh yes Horace, I saw you two chatting at the cross country training, is something going on between you two?" Squirt went wide eyed

"Oh no! Just friends, I mean we barely know each other" she said "What made you get that idea?" Rodney continued to smile

"Just friends hey? Well after you guys were chatting and I was giving him orders after cross country training he wouldn't stop smiling" Squirt blushed red, no one had ever reacted to her like that before, she thought, and some one as good natured and good-looking as Horace certainly was not expected to like her.

"Really?" she asked still smiling and blushing, Rodney nodded

"Yes, very much like what you're doing now" he said and instantly Squirt stopped smiling. Squirt, trying to look as casual and untouched by what Rodney said continued to talk

"Right, well do you know where I can find him?" she asked. Rodney nodded and pointed to a building at the training grounds for battle school3 storeys high.

"He's in the dormitory, level 2, room 37" Rodney squinting while saying it, trying to remember the information. "Anyway, I'm running late for a meeting, so I better go, bye" he said and rushed off before Squirt could say anymore. Squirt waved to him but he didn't turn back to wave. She shrugged mentally and made her way to the dormitory, smiling and blushing as she imagined Horace smiling that handsome smile he has. Then she felt a surge of excitement, realising that she couldn't wait to see him. What was this feeling, she thought

"Room 37 here we go" Squirt said quietly to herself. She raised her hand to knock on the door, but as she was about to tap the wood with knuckles, she heard multiple voices with a mean tone in them. She frowned and pressed her ear against the door.

"Now clean this mess up, baby, or we'll have to run the course again!" Squirt stood back unable to comprehend what the voices meant, then the door flung open and Squirt stood back shocked by the sudden movement. Three kids smaller than Squirt came out with wide grins not noticing Squirt a metre away. Maybe I've got the wrong room, Squirt thought, then at that moment she heard a muffled voice from inside the dormitory room that the three kids just walked out of

"I hate this place" the voice said. It sound like a sad sob and sounded very much like Horace. She looked in the doorway that the three kids didn't bother to shut and found mattresses and blankets scattered everywhere.

"Horace?ARe you there?" And saw movementat the other end of the room. She hurriedly half ran across the room to figure and saw more closely that it was Horace getting up from the floor.
