Maddie's room^

A/n: I'm in the process of editing sorry!
Maddie pov:

After I put Eva to bed, Shawn went upstairs to take a shower in my parents washroom, I could hear him singing something but I didn't want to be a creep so I went back to my room.

"You hungry?" He asked me lightly knocking on my door

"Kinda," I said walking towards my now open door

"Let's go make dinner" He said with a smile

Shawn pov:

We walked downstairs and into the kitchen, I decided on making a red-wine spaghetti.
"I hope you like spaghetti" I told her
"I love spaghetti!" She says

I start measuring out the ingredients as the pasta is cooking. I turned on some music while we waited for it to finish.

After dinner I placed the dishes in the sink, rinsing the sauce off. I walked back to the living room where Maddie was sitting and sat next to her,
"Hey um," Maddie said pausing "I'm sorry about earlier" She says

After a few seconds, I realize what she was talking about... we almost kissed.
"Oh no don't apologize it's fine." I said,

but I wish you would kiss me my subconscious adds, maybe I've just had a few too many glasses of wine. I'm definitely crossing a student to teacher thing here, sitting here drinking wine with my student. I feel a pang of guilt.

"What are you thinking about?" She asked turning her body to me

"A lot" I say honestly

"Tell me" She says taking a sip of her wine,
"It's just I feel guilty doing all of this, I shouldn't be drinking wine with you right now and we shouldn't even be having this conversation." I says "But I really do-" I almost say but I just can't

"You do what?" She asked

I can't tell her that I think she's beautiful and that I like her. That sounds so pathetic
"Never to mind, let's watch a movie?" I ask and she nods
Next day- Saturday morning

We must've fallen asleep on the couch, Maddie was laying on me. I didn't want t wake her up but I also didn't want her parents to come in and see us.
"Maddie" I whispered rubbing her back a little, she snuggled into me more and my heart melted "We gotta get up" I told her and she sat up
Maddie went upstairs to get changed and I stayed downstairs, deciding to make some breakfast

As I was cracking an egg I heard some crying from upstairs, I went to investigate and found her laying in her parents bed crying

"Maddie?" I said

Seeing her cry breaks my heart

"Maddie, what's wrong?" I said but she continued crying

"Is it something I did?" I asked

"No," she cried "It's my dad" she continued crying

I didn't say anything, I didn't know what to say

"I got a text from one of my dads coworkers, he's either in a bad condition" she sniffled "or dead."

"Maddie," I said lightly rubbing the small of her back

Maddie pov:

Shawn was being really comforting and it made me feel a tiny bit better but I still couldn't stop crying. I could smell some bacon downstairs but I just wanted to lay in my dads bed and smell his cologne. I couldn't help but think what life will be like without him there. I was sleeping when Shawn came in with some food

"Maddie," He whispered

I sat up and smiled

"Hey," I said

"Eat." He said handing me a plate

"I am not hungry." I said

"Please?"He groaned

"Fine" I laughed and started eating

Shawn pov:

While Maddie finished eating I took Eva and walked over to my house since it's a few houses away from Maddie's. when I arrived I went upstairs to my room and picked out a black v-neck with grey sweatpants and some nike slides, Eva was downstairs playing with my piano. After that I walked back to Maddie's house and found Maddie asleep in her bed.

"Shhh," I said to Eva "Want to go with me to get mummy some flowers?"

"Yeah!" She quietly cheered

I put Eva in her carseat in the back of my jeep. She demanded that we listen to Taylor Swift,

"I stay out too latee!!" She sung

When we got to the flower shop Eva picked out some light pink roses, I guess people think that Eva looks like me cause thats what the cashier said

"Aw, is this your daughter? She's so cute!"

I didn't respond I just laughed.

Maddie pov:

I was sleeping when I heard my bedroom door open and saw Shawn and Eva

"Eva wanted to get you some roses" Shawn said

"Here you go mummy" Eva said handing he the roses

"Thank you baby," I said giving her a kiss

Eva when downstairs and watched tv or whatever and Shawn stayed upstairs

Right as Shawn sat down I got a message from my group chat

Emily: Anyone down to go to water colour today?

Meg: Yes!!

Kayla: If Maddie goes I'll go

Jake: Yeah what time?

Chase: Sounds fun!!

*I highly doubt any of you guys know what Water Colour is, it's like a tiny city in Florida where you can walk everywhere it's right on the beach and it's super pretty*

"Hey um, Emily asked if I wanted to go to water colour"

"Are you going to go?" Shawn asked

"Probably not, I have Eva"

"I can watch her, I mean your mum did want me to watch over you two" Shawn said

"Really? Thanks" I asked a bit surprised

"Yeah" Shawn said smiling

Emily: Maddie are you going?

Me: yeah!! I'll be there in an hour!
