Twenty eight

A few days later

Maddie pov:

I had my ticket scanned and I walked through the terminal and into the plane, I quickly found my seat and sat down. As the plane took off I put my ear buds in and listened to some music, watching the clouds go by and the ground become further and further away. I tried to think about literally anything about him, all I could think about is how I'm going to tell my mom, I totally get it if she wants nothing to do with me afterwards, Kelly seemed to take it well but I can't really see my mum being supportive.

I rested my head against the wall just listening to the music and eventually my eyes fell shut. I woke up to the jolt of the plane landing, it's good to be home but I just know how difficult this week is going to be.

I walked off the plane, since I was only here for the week I brought a small backpack with my clothes.

Mum: We're at the bottom of the stairs!

I read the text and smiled, hoping maybe Shawn was there too. I walked down the stairs and saw my mum and Eva,

"Mummy!" Eva yelled

"Aw my Eva bug I've missed you!" I said picking her up and giving her a big kiss

We walked out to the car and I placed my bag in the trunk, as we drove home my mum was asking questions about my new school

"Do you like it there?" She asked me

"Not really" I tell her honestly

"Have you made any friends?" She asked and I smiled thinking about Hayes

"I only have one but he's-"

"Ohh a he?" She said

"Mum." I scolded silently reminding her of Shawn

"Sorry I forgot." She said truthfully

How had she forgotten? Maybe she'll take my pregnancy news better than I thought? When we got home I put my bags back upstairs, my mum was almost instantly called in for some surgery

"I'm so sorry hun I promise we can hang out tomorrow?" She asked

"No it's fine don't worry, tomorrow works" I smile

Eva and I sat on the couch watching a movie, she was looking oddly big in the few weeks that I hadn't seen her, which makes me sad that she's growing up so fast. Eva's eyes were fixed on the TV so I decided to text Shawn

Maddie: Can I come over in a bit?

While I waited for a response I continued watching the movie with Eva. After the movie ended I saw that Shawn messaged me back so I put some shoes on and grabbed my keys and Eva of course.

I decided not to walk since it was getting dark out, I pulled out of my drive way and made the short drive to his house. When we got there I unbuckled Eva and we walked up to the door, I didn't want to be rude and just walk in so I rang the bell.

"Hi girls" He smiled as he opened the door

"Shawn!!" Eva yelled and went into his arms
