Enchanted by Your Melody

You sing a song

Of good poetry,

I dance along

To your melody

You are the poet

Who tames my heart

The one whose smiles

Are made of art

If I stay,

I'm bound to be

Enchanted by your melody

But my soul is ice

And my heart is stone

I know it's wise

To be left alone

Many others had fallen asleep

They never knew

They went too deep

Until they broke piece by piece

As you turned their fragments into melodies

I want my freedom

I want escape

I will never

Take the bait

For you are the poet

And I am the dancer

Behind the smiles

You're the puppet master

...But as you sing your song

Of good poetry

And I dance along

To your melody

And you smile at me,

Eyes begging helplessly

I know, in some way, I have always been free

And I can choose stay

With you and your poetry.
