Galaxies

I stretched my hands

up to the galaxies

to find you

to hold you

You were my star

My world, my universe

I like you

-no.  I  l o v e  y o u .

Your eyes stole away my might,

Holding my love above your flames

My knees buckled, my heart raced

I wondered if you felt the same

I was gazing up at constellations,

looking for your light.

but you found me instead

and said you l o v e d me.

[ I   s m i l e d ]

You said you loved me.

《You loved me

You loved me

You loved me》

So why couldn't we be?

[ I   c r i e d ]

I asked that question

That same question

e v e r y d a y.

Until my relentless plotting

of your constellation

Had finally made you

s t a y.

I realized by the end, that

Your eyes were more than stars

more than galaxies.

more than anything I could imagine.

-like the universe, they were eyes that contained many mysteries I will never solve.

But I loved you anyway, ignoring my fear of the unknown.
