Chapter 23

Sophia

When our lips touched I felt sparks and energy run through me like ive never felt before, Javiare was showing me the bond. The connection between us, and I loved it. He moved his hands around me and pulled me close as we leaned back on the bed. I wrapped my arms around his neck and felt the warmth radiating off him. Snuggling his head to the crook of my neck, I put mine in his and we just laid there. I inhaled his scent and sighed, "i wish we could do this forever" I said

He hummed yes and just held me tighter to him, he then turned into his back pulling me on top of him. My arms lowered and I laid on him, feeling the rise and foll of his chest, "god, I wish this whole thing was over" he said

"Oh yeah" I replied

There was a soft knock at the door, I sighed and sat up, "ill get it" I told Javiare

I walked over to the door and opened it, a girl was standing there with a tall drinking thermos, "hello" I said, "can I help you?"

She nodded, "Luna Olivia told me to give this to you" she said holding out the metal bottle

I took it and felt a liquid inside, "oh, ok, thanks" I said

She nodded again and ran off, closing the door behind me I turned and started walking to the bed. I twisted the cap open and Javiare sat up, "what was that about?" He asked

"This girl gave me this bottle thing" I said before popping the cap open

I felt the fangs in my mouth extend a as soon as the smell hit me, "its blood" I said looking at it in awe

"Well drink it" Javiare said, "not all though, we can use it for the road too" he leaned against the headboard of the bed

I tilted the bottle back and took a few sips, this blood was difrent. It had a whole nother taste and it didn't fill me up as much as Javiares blood either. I closed the bottle and set it down on the dresser next to Javiare bag. " so how much further do we have to go?" I jumped into the bed next to him

He chuckled, "well, about 3 or 4 more days of driving and we should be there" he said putting his hands behind his head, "but don't worry about that, you should rest. You look tired

I pulled the covers over me lying on my side "not really" I yawned

I heard Javiare chuckle then felt him wrap his arm around me, his warm chest to my back, "relax, im here, nothing bad will happen if I'm here" he whispered in my ear

I felt my eyes give way and close dispite my protest, and I drifted off to sleep. Warm and safe in Javiare arms, it was the best sleep I have had since before Jasper. I woke up to Javiare lightly shaking me, "wake up" I heard him call "we need to get going"

I groaned and rolled over in bed, "10 more minutes" I siad pulling a pillow over my head

"Im not letting that happen" he said before ripping the sheets off me, "time to wake up"

I groaned really loud and chucked a pillow at Javiare, "meanie, I wanted to sleep" I said swinging my legs off the bed

"Well, you ready?" He asked handing me the metal bottle from last night

"Yeah, I guess" I said taking the bottle, "im going to go let them know were leaving ok? Can you meet me at the car, I wanted to say thanks to Olivia" I told him

He nodded, "yeah, ill show you to the office then go to the van, there really close anyway" he said picking up his bag

We walked out the double doors and down the hall, Javiare showed me the exit and the office, I was about to go inside when I heard them talking. It was wierd, I could hear therm clear as day as if I was in the room.

"So who took you?" I heard Alpha Sam say

"Vampires, im telling you, there's a clan of them just a few miles from here" Catlyn replied, "if we gather our army we can take them down" she urged

Alpha Sam sighed, "no, we can't do that, too many will die"

"But we have to do something! There going to take more people, they need to be stopped!" She yelled

I heard the back of Alpha Sams chair slide on the floor, "I said no, now go, I have work to do" he said in a harsh voice, even I was ready to leave

The door swung open and Catlyn left in a huf, she saw me standing there and rolled her eyes at me as she passed by, I walked over to the doorway and peaked in. Alpha Sam was sitting back down in his seat, he looked up and saw me peaking in, "oh, hello Sophia, please come in"

I nodded and stepped in, "I'm, I wanted to say thanks for letting us stay here, and to thank your wife to Luna Olivia," I stopped in front of his desk, gripping the bottle in my hands tightly to settle my nerves

"Oh, well don't worry about it, and Olivia is out I think at the moment, do you want me to tell her something for you?" He leaned his elbows on the desk in front of him

"Um, just thanks a lot for everything, we are leaving right now anyway. Javiare is waiting in the van so I better go" I said slowly backing up to the doorway

"Wait" he said and I stopped in my tracks, "what's that you have there?" He pointed to the bottle

"Oh, uh, its apart of my special diet" I said as convincing as possible

"Well, what's in it then? Maybe ill go on this diet?" He asked, "your not hideing anything in there are you?" He looked at me a hard face on

"Its just random stuff blended together, it looks gross and you would like it" I laughed it off

"Then you would mind of I tasted it?" He asked smiling

"Uhhh..."
