Chapter 28

Sophia

Emma and I tried on a bunch of dresses until I decited on the blue tea dress, "sowhats the weirdest thing you've seen here?" I asked

She thought for a moment, "its not that I've seen weird things, I mean vampires being real was pretty crazy for me" she said

"Oh that's not all" I told her, "werewolves, which, and probably even mermaids" I laughed

She looked at me amazed, "there are others?" She asked

I giggled, "I think, I've only seen werewolves mostly and apparently my best friends was a which. I'm just assuming everything else is real" I laughed

She laughed too, "ok, we need to get you back to your room" she said getting up

I sighed, "yeah" I said grabbing my dress and getting up

"Oh" she spun around to me, "you can pick out a few outfits too, there's the party tomorrow night that your invited too" she told me

I nodded and grabbed 2 or 3 more outfits and we walked back to my room, "um, where do you guys stay?" I asked, I need information about where Olivia might be

She sighed, "we live in the basement, that were all the humans stay" she told me

We walked into my room and I set the outfits in the closet, "well, if you ever want to come up here and stay with me while I'm here, your more than welcome" I said, "oh, and you can bring all your friends too, this room is big eniough for 12 of me" I laughed

She looked at me with a sad smile, "thank you, but we cant. Its one of the rules we have to follow" she said, "if we break them we get punished" she said holding her elbows and looking down

I walked over and wrapped my arm around her shoulder, "dont worry, I would take the blame, say "I kidnapped them" or "I was lonely so I wanted some people to talk to"" I told her

She smiled, "thanks, but it dosnt work that way" she took a deep breath, "ok, we need to get you ready, dinner is soon" she said pushing me into the bathroom, " take a shower and ill get your makeup and hair after" she told me before shutting me in the bathroom

I walked over to the shower and turned it on, i need her tho show, me around so I can make a plan. The longer Olivia is here the more danger she is in, i threw off my old clothes and jumped in the shower. I washed off the dirt from my legs and the greece from my hair. Once I was done I wrapped one of the white towels around me, I peaked out the door and saw Emma standing at the end of the bed looking around. I walked out and she looked over, "done?" She asked

I nodded, "yeah"

She ran over to the closet and grabbed my dress bringing it into the bathroom for me, "ill dry your hair before you get dressed, ok?" She asked

I nodded and sat on one of the vanity seats under the sink, Emma grabbed a hair dryer and dried my hair completely. She made sure not to burn me or that it was too hot. Once dried I slipped on the dress and let Emma do my hair, "I was thinking maybe a French braid from both sides that connect in the back" she said

I looked at her shocked, "you can do that?" I asked

She nodded, "yes, I can do something else if you want?"

I shook my head, "no, what ever easier for you" I said settleing myself in the seat

She nodded, "ok" and started braiding

"So, where do the newbies go when you first get here?" I asked

She thought for a moment while continuing on my hair, "well, for me Master Juane showed me where to go and not go then where I was to sleep. He had one of the other girls show me what to do" she explained, "but it all depends on what kind of pet you are" she said

"There are difrent kinds?" I asked

She hummed a yes, "what are the current kinds?" I asked

She looked at me confused, "well, we have the cleaning workers, the kitchen staff, there's also the ones that just are used for blood, and the worst of all" she said

"What's the worst?" I asked praying Olivia was far from it

"The personal pets, where..." She started then paused, "where the Master has his own private pet for them to do as they wish with, they're the ones with collars and leashes" she told me in a sad voice

Oh, god, I hope Olivia dosnt become a personal pet, I told myself. "Can you show me around the castle maybe?" I asked

She shook her head, "there are areas of the castle I'm not allowed, you can ask Master Juane to show you around" she told me

I sighed, I did say I needed to get closer to him, "oh, ok" I said

She wrapped up the braid with a blue bow and stepped back, "done" she said

I  stood up and turned around to look in the mirror, "damn, your good" I said looking at my hair

I had braids on either side leading to the back where they combined to one larger one, "thank you" she said

Then there was knock at the door, "Sarah?" I heard Prince Juane, "are you ready, I'm here to take you to dinner" he said

I turned around and gave Emma a big hug, "thanks so much" I whispered in her ear before leaving and running to the door

I saw a pair of silver heels by the door and slipped them on, "coming, in ready!" I yelled

I opened the door to see Juane standing there in another suit, he held out his hand, "would you please join me for dinner mis Sarah"

I looked at him a little confused but then remberd I told him my name was Sarah, taking my hand he led me out of the room. I looked over his shoulder and saw Olivia, standing there with a really short gren dress and a collar on.
