The Darlings, Christopher Robin, and Alice are all related. Peter and Alice take place in Victorian England and the all children are highly imaginative (Not to mention how similar Wendy and Alice look). (The Darlings believe in Neverland, Christopher Robin has imaginary friends derived from his stuffed animals, and Alice visits Wonderland.) While the Darlings and Alice are cousins, Christopher is the son of John. In Return to Neverland, Wendy is shown to be a grown woman during World War II and have a husband who was a soldier in the army. Given this information, it's possible that John was drafted to the military and sent his wife and son Christopher to the countryside to keep them safe, where the nature gave Christopher the inspiration for the Hundred Acre Wood.
