I have one word: Bill. Bill is a friendly chimney sweep with a Cockney accent who appears for literally two minutes in Alice in Wonderland, Bill's a character practically no one remembers. However, those who do might be surprised that a lizard who looks eerily similar to him is a part of Ratigan's gang in Great Mouse Detective. Now, Bill isn't a cameo like Rapunzel in Frozen and the King in Little Mermaid, he's one of the main members you see and even has some speaking lines, not to mention the only lizard. The movies also both take place in the Victorian England period, with Great Mouse Detective taking place in 1897 and Alice living in the countryside around the same time. Is it possible that Wonderland is some sort of child dream world and that Alice's sneeze knocked him into the real world, forcing him onto the streets where he eventually joins Ratigan's gang? I'd say yes.
