It had been a week since their dinner. In the end, they talked things through and forgave each other about the fight. Chris was brave enough to talk about his feelings and what he wanted from her.

This time he explained for the first time that he wanted to be in a relationship with her. He wanted to be able to call her as his girlfriend and kiss and hug her without worrying about the consequences. Although he had known that for a long time, it felt strange to say it out loud for the first time.

He shouldn't have been disappointed when Bree once again rejected him, saying that she needed more time to figure out her feelings. He tried to understand her, he really did, but he couldn't help but get tired of her same old excuses. What was there to think about?

He wanted to help her by hugging her when she needed to cry but also be the reason why she couldn't stop laughing and smiling like the happiest woman in the world. And above all that he would wait even a long time for permission to kiss her. All he wanted to do was to make her happy but she didn't let him.

She also had mentioned Quentin and thinking about what was good for him. He didn't want to sound too cocky and confident but that little child seemed to love his company as much as Chris loved spending time with him. Ever since their first movie night when all three of them watched Winnie the Pooh he had felt strongly about the kid.

Of course, he didn't think of being a father to Quentin but there was a bond between them, no matter what Bree said. It would be a crime not to allow them to see each other which would leave him heartbroken. Just like with his mother he wanted to make sure that Quentin would always be happy.

Sadly this was the second last holiday week. This meant that soon they both would be spending a lot of time in school while he would either look after Lucky or waste his time with his roommate and probably drink beer and watch football.

He couldn't help but be excited about the fact that Quentin would start his final year of kindergarten after summer. It was nothing compared to Bree who had cried many times because her first child would soon start school. She knew that women could be sensitive but sometimes Bree took it to a whole new level.

He had listened many times during the last seven days of her both complaining and praising about how fast the time went by and every time had failed to keep straight face when her mood went up and down in seconds. To say that she wasn't happy with him would be underestimating but she couldn't help but laugh with him after a few minutes.

Today was supposed to be a normal day but Joey surprised Chris by inviting him over with others, only saying that he had a surprise for them. So, along with Patrick, Quentin and Bree he was trying to figure out what was happening while driving to their home.

Brett and Savannah would have come with them but his car was only for five people so they decided to come alone, taking Lucky who Quentin begged to take with them. Apparently, Vicky and Sofia were already there with Vicky's new boyfriend who no one had heard about before this day.

"Is that him?" Bree whispered to him when they were on their destination, looking at a stranger who looked to be in his late twenties so he was older than everyone else in their group, Brett being the oldest at the age of twenty-seven.

The man had darker brown skin, black hair and height easily over six feet. Right now he was standing behind their blonde friend while talking with Kenneth who didn't seem to have any problems with the unknown man in his house.

"I don't know," he whispered back yet kept looking at the man and how he kept his hands on Vicky's shoulders, "Probably. You think he's African?"

"Ask him," Patrick joined their conversation as which only proved that Chris needed to practice whispering.
