Music blared through the house that Chase and I were currently in. We were sitting on a couch and Chase was currently engrossed in a drinking game with his friend, Blake. They were taking turns doing shots, one more than the previous round.

I watched in amazement as Chase downed four straight shots. once he set down the glasses he took a minute to fist bump Blake. It was Blake's turn next and just as he was about to down his shots his girlfriend came up from behind and placed her lips on his neck. He immediately put down his shots and wrapped his hand around her neck to deepen the kiss.

The sudden affection he was seeing must have sparked something inside of him because Chase placed a hand on my thigh. He looked over at me with soft eyes. I smiled back just as softly. His eyes glanced down to my neck before he moved in. I thought he was going to kiss my neck but instead he nuzzled his head in.

I giggled as he moved his head down to my side and  wrapped his arms around my abdomen, squeezing. "Chase! Baby, what are you doing?" He laughed quietly and i giggled at the sight of his squished cheeks. "I'm holding my baby!" He responded, with slightly slurred words, as if it were obvious. "Oh, okay. are you having fun?" He tried to nod but when he realized it was hard to he frowned.

"You ready to go home yet?" I asked and ruffled his hair gently. "No!" He exclaimed quickly. I raised my eyebrow, continuing to ruffle his hair. "Why not?" "Because I need to find my girlfriend." I couldn't help but let out a laugh. "Oh yeah? Where is she?" He sat up, pouting his lips. "I don't know! I haven't seen her since," he paused and sat up quickly. "When did I last see her?" He was looking around the room at all of the people, searching for his girlfriend, well me.

"Maybe I can help you find her," I offered. "What's her name?" He looked over at me decided to lay his head on my shoulder. "Her name's Chrissy. She's got gorgeous eyes and she's so pretty. Sometimes she wears weird clothes but usually I like what she wears." He sat up again. "Hey, you look a lot like her." I gasped, acting somewhat shocked. "Really? Well it just so happens that my name's Chrissy too!" He giggled and continued to look around the room.

He turned back around and faced me. Suddenly his eyes lit up and he pointed at me excitedly. "I found you!" He exclaimed and let out a hiccup. "I've been looking everywhere! Chrissy helped me find ya!" I nodded, playing along with his drunken cluelessness. "Sounds like you've had fun." He nodded, smirking. "Definitely. But I'm gonna have more fun at home with you."

Suddenly it wasn't all giggles. The smirk he was giving me caused my heart to thump in my chest. "Oh-oh yeah?" I managed to choke out. Suddenly our roles had reversed and it was as if i was the drunk one, unable to control my thoughts, words, or actions.

"Definitely! We can play scrabble and monopoly and I know you love that game, oh what's it called, titantic?" Even though the thought of getting dirty with my boyfriend was thrown in the gutter I couldn't help but let out a laugh. "I think it's time for bed, Chase. You've had a long day!" He pouted and sighed but stood up and grabbed my hand.

"Come on Chrissy! We're gonna be late!" He whined. I stood up and followed him, presumably towards the exit. "Late to what?" He giggled and started jumping up and down. "Your birthday party! Duh!" I raised my eyebrow, causing chase to laugh and point at my face. "It's not my birthday. My birthday isn't until next month."

He shook his head, laughing to himself. "You can't fool me, darlin'." Even though his words were slurred his country accent was still evident, causing my heart to speed up. "Everybody!" Chase yelled loudly, getting the attention of quite a few people. "It's my girlfriend Chrissy's birthday! Let's sing!" He giggled and let out a hiccup. He made a funny face before laughing it off. "1, 2, a 1, 2, 3, 4!" He yelled and began to sing 'Happy Birthday'.

Even though they had no idea who's birthday it was or what was happening people began to join Chase in song. Before I knew it the whole house was wishing me a happy birthday, a month too early.

When the song had ended I couldn't help but laugh. Chase frowned. "Did you not like it? We can do it again." "No I loved it! But my birthday really isn't until next month!" He shook his head, shaking his finger in my direction. "You're not fooling me. I already got you figured out." I rolled my eyes and laughed. "Sure you do."

I grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the closest door, deciding the alcohol has had enough of an influence on him for the night. As we made our way through the crowds random people wished me a happy birthday. Instead of explaining to them that it wasn't actually my birthday I decided to save myself the time because they were probably drunk anyways.

We finally reached the door and I pulled it open. I stepped outside but Chase refused to follow and he attached himself to the house. He placed one foot on each side of the house and gripped onto the wall with his hands. "I'm not leaving. Not without my puppy."

"Chase, you don't have a puppy!" He looked at me, confused. "Well can we get a puppy?" I shrugged, smirking lightly. "Sounds like a good idea to me." "Yay!" He yelled and took back my hand. He stumbled down the steps after me and followed me down the road until we finally got to his truck.

"Keys please?" Chase asked and began to climb into the drivers seat. "Oh please!" I laughed and reopened the drivers side door. I tugged him out, which is very easy to do when he's drunk and doesn't have control of his muscles. I helped him walk around to the other side of the truck. I boosted him up and then stood on the lift to buckle him in. Once he was as comfortable as a drunk boy gets I closed the door and walked back to the other side.

I climbed in and buckled. I turned the keys and revved the engine. "Oh mama!" Chase slurred and grabbed the side of the door. "We're going for a ride!" He hollered excitedly. I smiled and pulled out of the neighborhood.

Once we arrived at Chase's apartment he immediately jumped out of the truck and got down on his knees. He kissed the ground as if it were the bricks at Indianapolis. "Kissing the bricks, bud?" I asked, chuckling. "Oh sweet freedom!" He yelled as he stood up and continued rejoicing. I just laughed and made my way to the door.

When he realized I wasn't partying with him he quickly tried to catch up. "Da-darling wait!" He slurred out. I turned around and saw that he must've fallen because he was on his knees. I sighed and walked back to him to help him up.

With my help he managed to make it up the stairs and to our apartment door. I fished the key out of my jean pocket and unlocked the door. He immediately made his way to the bathroom. I heard the sound of him throwing up as I locked the door. I quickly rushed to the bathroom and helped him clean up.

"I'm sorry chrissy." He mumbled. I smiled softly at him. "It's okay. You're allowed to have your night of fun." He hiccuped quietly and leaned in for a kiss. I scrunched up my face and shook my head. "Sorry mister five too many shots, you have to brush your teeth first." He grumbled lightly but did as he was told and brushed his teeth. After I had done the same I helped him undress for bed. He climbed into bed and I tucked the covers around him.

I stepped back to undo my bra and by the time I crawled into bed next to him soft snores were already escaping from his lips.
