sorry it's been sooooo long. i'm a busy busy busy busy person, if i'm being honest i've been making changes to this story in my drafts, which are a mess right now haha

psa this chapter is also a mess , i jumped around in time so much & im sorry but i don't want to recite all of what happened in the beautiful travesty that is the Battle of Hogwarts. Basically it starts with Ron & Hermione in the Chamber of Secrets and then goes to the left wing castle/Room of Requirement, and then goes to after they all return from watching Voldemort kill Snape.

honest question :

do you guys like this story? ik all the delays are annoying & im sorry, but i completely changed my ending for this story so i've been working on that. i hope you like how the last few chapters have been. i like writing it, and i know it started out messed up and gross but i'm going to edit it, i promise!

also i have something important to ask; are any of you able to do covers for stories? i used to do it but as you can see i'm kind of terrible at it & since i'm editing both stories i thought i'd change the covers up too and make them great. message me or leave a comment if you are willing, and of course you will receive full recognition & credit :)

     qotd- katniss or hermione?

atod - hermione. katniss and her share many of the same qualities such as bravery and internal strength, but hermione's loyalty to someone else rather than independence (katniss) is what differentiates them & what i love about hermione most. instead of choosing to fly solo, she always decides to side with harry. don't get me wrong, i love a girl who is independent, but hermione uses her stubbornness for the better in my opinion. besides, katniss got on my nerves sometimes w the whole peeta gale thing .

I'll come back for you, Harry had told Hermione. The five words rang throughout her mind in the countless hours she was without him, unsure if he was gurgling in his own pool of blood or even how much pain he was experiencing. Her eyes loomed in the shadows, and occasionally the loud explosions from above caused her to jump; each one set off her emotional girlfriend senses, which she had knowingly tried to conceal. There was one explosion that rang throughout the castle that was so intense that Hermione was thrown onto the ground by the destructive aftershock, and Ron was knocked to the side and hit a wall. The only thing that was keeping Hermione from sprinting up to the Main Hall to find Harry was that he had specifically asked her not to. Ron was with her, but one could certainly tell that his mind was considerably wrapped with the idea of Luna, and when he'd be able to see her again. No words had been transposed between the two of them for several moments, not due to awkwardness, but what was there to say?

Occasionally she would exchange a side glance with him and together, their eyes would read in unison, I know.

Still, Hermione doubted that she and Ron were on the same page of what exactly was known. She knew that she had finally come to trust him again, and no matter what happened within the night, Harry was going to make it out alive. Hermione knowingly faced the possibility of being killed, but knew that she would die because she loved him. And she had missed her chance to tell him that, because she was the most stubborn person ever known. On the other hand, Ron knew that he had to keep Hermione safe at all costs, so that she may return to Harry. His protective instincts came into play when a sharp explosion rang from above, for he would shield his body over hers until the vibrations within the walls would stop. He also knew that he had been loyal to Harry for several years, and in this night it would all come into play.
