blithe

adjective

showing a casual and cheerful indifference considered to be callous or improper

happy or joyous

To be honest, the sole reason I chose this word is that it's a homophone of one of my favorite names, Blythe. The name Blythe means happy or carefree. That sounds good and well, but the first definition of the word takes it for a bitter turn.
