My heart hammered rapidly in my chest as me and Luis ran to the teleport gate, my scroll still out so I can see the coordinates of my older brother who I have been searching for what seems like an eternity. Luis was more than ecstatic to see me so happy once he sent me his coordinates, everyone at the orphanage instantly telling me to go and find him, meet him, reunite with him. A flash of what Tsuboi looked like before he entered the game flashed through my mind then the mental image of him being in the hospital with the NerveGear placed on top of his head. My breathing became rapid as I ran out of breath, having to stop for a moment to catch it even though this was only virtual but it felt like I was running a marathon mentally. Luis noticed me stopping and instantly rounded back before picking me up and began running again. I shrieked in surprise, holding tightly to him
"Luis!"
"Calm down! I'm not gonna let you fall!" He stated with a small laugh, a warning appearing on screen in my field of vision asking me if Luis carrying me was him trying to hurt me. I rolled my eyes at the warning, tapping on 'Decline' before holding tightly to him again when he jumped over the water fountain, soaring through the air for a brief few moments, his feet gracefully landing on the ground as we ran through the portal, the option coming up for where the party of two wanted to go. Luis sat me down back onto my feet before tapping on the floor Tsuboi was currently on. Floor 20... It read as blue enveloped us, teleporting us to Floor 20. With a surge of energy, I felt my body move in hyper speed before we were suddenly standing on cobblestone where four portals surrounded us, other players appearing from their own destinations. I looked around in awe, feeling my heart rate calm down as my menu came back up, the coordinates reappearing. I went to the map before putting in the coordinates, seeing mine and Luis' game markers appear on the map, and a red one that stood out like a soar thumb. 'Tsuboi...' I thought, a smile spreading across my lips
"There he is..." Luis looked over my shoulder, leaning slight down to read it
"He isn't far from here, he is currently in a inn from what the building looks like from above."
"Is that good?" I asked him, looking up at him which he nodded in confirmation, "Yep, because in inns a lot of the rooms have audio barriers, so others outside won't be able to hear anything unless their Eavesdropping Skill is pretty much the whole ways up. But, I highly doubt that right now since this is only the 20Th Floor and- it is pretty early in the game so people focusing on their Eavesdropping Skill isn't likely." I furrowed my brows, slightly taken aback
"Nerd."
"I'm taking that as a compliment.".
I stuck my tongue out at him before we began running again, whizzing past other players and NPCs like honey bees searching for pollen. Was there any honey bees in this game? I haven't seen any yet. When we neared a large crowd near a marketplace, Luis quickly grabbed my hand, holding onto it tightly as not to lose me in the large crowd of players. Wind whizzed past my body as we ran, my map back up again as we neared the red marker of my older brother Tsuboi Ryoutarou. Millions of thoughts ran through my mind, nervousness enveloping my heart, what if it wasn't Tsuboi? What if I just made a mistake? Maybe Tsuboi's ingame name isn't Klein like I thought? But, then if that were to be true, then how would they know our small family saying? I shook my head, 'No, it's him. It's my older brother. It's really him!' I screamed in my mind, mentally preparing myself for the rush of feelings I will get when I will see him after so long. Luis noticed my worry, as it was probably really visible on my face and in my eyes
"Hey, don't worry. It will be awesome." I nodded, smiling softly up at him before we rounded a corner, almost bumping into a weapon stall. We continued running, feeling tired from all of this running mentally but not physically, because of well... Only my mind was awake at the moment. 'We are just the consciousness of the actual mind.' I concluded before shrugging and continuing to pay attention to where we are going
