Chapter Thirteen

Makai

I ran out the room to the bathroom and started dry heaving.

How the fuck am I gonna do this. I killed the parents of the one girl I actually love.

If she finds out she'll kill everybody. Even Connie.

I kept running my hands over my head.

I can't let her see it I gotta burn it the box.

Fuck that doesn't make Armon forget. What if he has copies. What if she actually remembers the names.

She fucking met Darrell. Man shit.

This life can't ever leave me behind can it.

I rinsed my face off and stared at myself in the mirror. Just tell her.

I walked back to the room and Armon looked at me confused.

"You pregnant?" He asked laughing.

"Nah bro...lol." I said kinda dry.

Armon showed me everything else in the box and after two hours of that Lela got up and showered.

Armon told us about this little park and we walked down there with Connie.

"I'm sorry for that whole episode." She said

"There's nothing to apologize for. I know that you were in alot of pain and that's perfectly ok." I said

"Its just that I swore to myself that once I found whoever Renny is I'd do all these things and I got so caught up in the normal life I forgot about the revenge." She said

"You know if it's a boy or a girl?" I asked

"No. I don't know shit but ima get everything from Armon before we leave." She said

Fuck we supposed to leave today.

I nodded my head and sat back in the bench.

"Lela I need to tell you something but I don't know how." I said

"Best way to do that is to just spit it out Kai." She said

"What if it's not that easy and you get mad?" I asked

"Kai just tell me." She said

I grabbed her wrists and looked her in the eyes. I was shaking and took a deep breath while shaking my head.

"I'm Renny." I said but my voice came out low so it sounded like I was whispering.

"What?" She said squinting.

"I'm Renny Lela." I said

The look on her face went from confused to hurt. It felt so painful to know I caused it.

Tears rolled down her face as she struggled to breath. She looked like she was going to be sick.

"Lela I'm sorry I didn't know. I would've never done it had I known. I'm sorry I love you. " I said crying.

"Let go of me Makai. " She said

"I'm sorry." I said

"THAT DOESN'T BRING MY PARENTS BACK YOU FUCKING ASS. MY MOM NEVER SAW ME GRADUATE COLLEGE. Never got to see my sister be a model. Never saw that I turned into something better." She said with her voice fading.

"Lela I can't fix it. I was young and they.... I had to." I said

She closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around me hugging me.

Next thing I know I'm consumed in darkness.
