The orientation didn't last long. It was really just a way for Beth to get you to stray from your curiosity about the seventh floor. Which, you still have not stopped guessing at.

"Is it where the highest level of criminals are?" you ask her, noticing her hand movements stalling as she types on her computer.

"If i say stay away, you are more intrigued?" She asks, popping up and eyebrow at you. You nod your head quickly, needing answers. She sighs and shakes her head, focusing on the computer screen.

"If i show you, will you shut up about it?" She asks with a small laugh. You nod your head again, a bright smile on your face.

"Oh, alright. Fine, but this is the only time you will be up there unless told otherwise, do you understand" she asks, pointing her finger at you is if she were scolding a five year old.

"Yes Ma'am" you reply, another smile evident on your lips. Beth sighs and stands up, grabbing a set of keys. She walks to the back of the lobby, then to the right. Under the staircase is an elevator that showed it was currently on floor seven.

"Why didn't we just take the elevator the first time?" Beth presses the button and you hear whirring, but none of the other floors show.

"Because, darling, this elevator only goes from the lobby to the seventh floor. No in-between" she explains.

"Mainly for safety purposes when re-locating patients of the seventh floor. We cannot have them going up all of those stairs with our guards. It's much too dangerous" she looks at you for a brief second, and then the elevator dings. The doors slide open and you see Dr. Bettleman inside of it, alone.

"Hello, Ladies" he smiles, walking out to head to the front desk. Beth gently pulls you into the elevator and hits the '7' on the keypad.

"Now, on this floor... It is much more hectic than the others. These patients have done bad things are basically highly-dangerous criminals" she explains, her eyes are serious. You nod your head, swallowing hard to ease your dry throat.

"When the elevator stops, we will be greeted with guards who will be walking through the hall with us, alright?" You nod once more and feel the elevator stop, then you hear a 'ding'.

The doors open and the floor was completely different from the others. No longer was there a nice wood foundation. It was replaced by a harsh grey cement and brick. The small room just before the hall was blocked off from the cells beyond by a metal wall and door. A guard was standing by the door, his eyes fixed on you and Beth.

"Hello Beth. What can i do for you?" He asks, walking closer.

"Hello, Carl. This is Y/n, she is our new psychiatrist's assistant."

Carl smiles and waves a little, "hello". You smile back and wave awkwardly.

"We were on a tour and figured we'd see the... uh... whole building?" She asks, putting emphasis on the word 'whole'. Carl nods his head slowly, understanding.

"Alright, well, stay close and do not stray too close to the bars. These guys may be in metal cells, but they'd never hesitate to hurt someone" he explains.

Okay, now you were frightened. You nod slowly, preparing to see the worst thing you'd ever see. The criminally insane locked up and chained to the floor or something. Freaky.
