Jason's POV
I walked upstairs and found Cora in the kitchen we never use.
"What's that smell," I poked my head in the kitchen.
"Eggs and pancakes," She gestured to the plates on the counter.
"Is there a specific reason as to why you decided to you use this kitchen," I asked.
"There's no stairs," She shrugged.
I chuckled and shook my head as I sat down at the counter.
She gave me a plate as she sat down next to me.
I wanted to say something to her, but I couldn't. So Instead we are in silence as I thought of how I was going to tell her that we were going to find Sean.

"What's wrong," Cira finally asked, breaking the silence.
"I have to leave," I said quietly, glancing over at her.
"Why?"
"Because I have to go," I said, not wanting her to worry.
"Go where," She asked, giving me a look.
"To Sean," I whispered.
"Sean?"
"Yes, to Sean. We're leaving today, in one hour. He's a threat to you and our pack. We need to go eliminate the threat," I said, shrugging so she'd think it wasn't a big deal.
She nodded and stood up.
"Okay," She said, "try not to die."
She walked out of the kitchen and slammed our bedroom door.
I sighed and followed her.
"Cira," I jiggled the door knob as I tried to get in. "Open the door."
"Just leave, Jason."
"I can't, Cira. Not with you like this," I said quietly.
"I just want to be left alone," she said.
I went back to the kitchen and opened one of the drawers, moving things around until I found the key.
I went back to our room and unlocked the door.
"There's a key," I said, holding it up as I walked in.
"Of course there is," She muttered as she wiped the tears off of her face.
"Cira don't be like this," I whispered, sitting down next to her. "I have to do this and you know it. Do I want to leave you? No. But I have to."
She looked at me for a minute before nodding and leaning her head on my shoulder.
"I love you," she whispered.
"I love you too, Cira. More than anything. I'll come home, I promise."
She nodded and we just sat on the bed in silence.
It only took a few minutes until she had fallen asleep.
I gently laid her down and got up.
I got changed into a pair of sweatpants and a tee shirt before going back into the kitchen.
I cleaned up our breakfast and washed the dishes quietly, trying not to think of how much I was upsetting her.
I don't want her to be upset, but I can't let Sean live. As long as he's alive Cira will always have something to be afraid of and I won't be able to sleep right with the thought that the person who caused her so much pain is still alive.
I put everything away before going back to our room.
"Cira," I shook her gently, "I have to go now, Love."
She nodded and got up.
I pulled her to me and held her tightly.
"I love you," I whispered.
"I love you too," She said.
He kissed me before pulling away and slipping on my shoes.
I gave her a smile before leaving the room.

I met everyone else downstairs and Ryan went over the plans.
I wasn't listening though, all I could think of was Cira.
He can't stay alive an longer, today is the day my father must fall.

We ran for a few hours before Ryan stopped, all of us following suit.
The building Cira described is close. All of you be careful, we don't know how many wolves there will be or what Sean has been planning. Ryan sent to us all through the mind link.
He nodded to us and we all split up, surrounding the building but staying out of sight.
One, Ryan began to count.
Two, I looked around.
Three, he howled and we burst through the trees.
About 50 wolves came out of the building, including Sean.
I ignored the rest of the wolves, only focusing on getting to Sean.

I shifted back when I reached him, punching him in the jaw.
"You bastard," I growled as he stumbled backwards, "you're going to wish you never even looked at my mate."
"Oh but I did," he chuckled, "but I did more than just look at her. Didn't she te-"
I didn't let him finish as I wrapped my hand around his neck.
I slammed him on the ground and punched him repeatedly.
I raised my fist, but before I could make contact with his face there was a loud bang.
I stopped as I felt a searing pain in my stomach.
I stood up and stumbled back as I looked down.
There was blood pouring out of a hole in my stomach.
The last thing I saw was Ryan's wolf jump on top of Sean before everything went black.

Ryan's POV
I was killing every wolf that came close to me as I ran through the field, trying to find Jason and Sean.
Everyone seemed to freeze as a loud bang was heard.
I looked over and saw Jason stand up, blood pouring out of his stomach.
I growled and ran as fast as I could to them.
I jumped on top of Sean first, growling in his face before ripping his throat open.
I then shifted back and ran over to Jason.
He was laying on the ground, blood still pouring from the wound.
I looked around and saw most of the rogues dead and only a few of mine hurt.
"Sean is dead," I yelled, "either leave or you'll end up like him."
They all quickly took off as my members ran over.
"I need someone to put him on my back," I said quickly as I shifted.
A few men picked him up and put him on my back.
As soon as he was on I started running, heading back towards my land.
I need as many doctors to be ready as possible, Jason and a few others have been badly injured. I sent through the pack link, making sure Cira was blocked first.
I don't want her to worry until we know that there's something to worry about.

I ran as fast as I could, leaving everyone else behind.
I needed to get him help.
I can't lose him, he's like a brother to me.
I lost my mate, I don't want Cira to lose hers.

I got back to my pack and kept running, straight to the hospital where there were 12 doctors outside waiting.
Three of them took Jason off of my back and rushed him inside.
I shifted back and followed them as they ran down the halls.
"Alpha it's best if you stay out here," one of the doctors said.
I stopped and nodded as they took him into a room and shut the door.
I collapsed into one of the chairs as tears filled my eyes.

"Ryan!"
I looked up and saw Cira standing there.
"What's wrong," she asked quietly.
"It Jason," I whispered, "Sean shot him."
I stood up as tears started to fall down her face.
She put her hand to her mouth as she began to sob.
I reached out and caught as her knees buckled and she fell.
"It'll be alright," I whispered to her as I sat her in a chair, "he'll be okay."
I sat next to her and she laid her head on my shoulder as she cried.
