Kuroo buried himself into tons of work. He took extra loads and he took jobs he wasn't supposed to do.
Yaku couldn't do anything but watch him and it hurted. To see Kuroo destroy himself, it was destroying him as well.
He didn't talk. He didn't eat. He didn't go out of his room if it wasn't needed.
It was like going through the same phase all over again but it was worse than before.
Kuroo busied himself with different things when Tsukishima died. It was like he was dead himself but to him, it was fine.
He didn't have to shed tears because he was too tired to do so.
Work successfully numbed him like a strong anesthetic.
He didn't think of anything or anybody else.
It was just him and work, as selfish as it sounded.
He was selfish enough to not think of the light that he deprived.
But he was hurting as well.
