Chapter 7

(Y/N)'s
I wake up to Serena laying on my chest along with Pikachu lying next to me, I hear Pikachu yawn and look at me, he smiles and I scratch his ears, causing his tail to twitch, "Cha" he says in appreciation, Serena starts moving and lets out a loving sigh as she smiles at me, "Morning" I say to her, "Morning" she says back, "Clemont and Bonnie are probably up by now, should we meet them?" I ask, "I guess, but I'm staying close to you all day" she explains, "I can live with that" I say, we get up and get ready and meet Clemont and Bonnie at the entrance, they both have huge grins on their faces, "Good morning you two, how did you sleep?" Clemont asks, "Good, really good" I say glancing at Serena winking making her blush, "It worked Clemont" Bonnie says, "Bonnie!" Clemont yells, "What? It's obvious that they're a couple now" Bonnie says, "Well she's right, we are together now" Serena says hugging me, I nod in agreement, "Well, congratulations to you two then" Clemont says smiling, "You two are so cute together!" Bonnie says, we head out on the road again and I won more badges and Serena won more ribbons for her showcasing career, we stop for the night and I am training for my eighth gym badge, it's very late and water has splashed everywhere, Greninja is really energetic today, we're still mastering our strange connection and to do that we have to really focus, then I finally pack it in for bed

Serena's POV the next day
(Y/N) doesn't usually sleep this late in the morning, he eventually gets up but he seems different, he looks weak, he's sweating a lot, his face is completely red, he's breathing heavily, I walk up to him worried and I feel his forehead, it's really hot, he collapses on the ground, I put him back into his bed and Clemont and Bonnie go to get medicine, I grab water to help cool down (Y/N), Pikachu is worried sick, he stays by his side no matter what, suddenly I hear very loud rock music and I exit the tent and see a guy dressed like a rockstar with a Pikachu who has a mohawk, "Does that Pikachu travel with (F/N) (L/N)?" The man says, "Yes, but could you keep it down?" I ask, "Are you one of his buddies?" He asks, "I'm (Y/N)'s girlfriend" I tell him, "Well give him a message, I want to battle that Pikachu of his, and I hear he's a really good battler, I want to test that theory" he says, he keeps playing his electric guitar very loudly, he's going to wake up (Y/N), "Okay okay I'll go get him!" I say, he's in no condition to do anything, and if he knows he's being challenged, he will fight no matter what, and that guy is definitely not in the mood to hear that he's sick, I look at (Y/N)'s clothes, I look at Pikachu who tilts his head in confusion, I put on his clothes, which are his (F/C) hoodie and his beanie hat, along with some jeans, they don't really fit me considering he's so much taller than me but I somehow make it work, I exit the tent and I'm not expecting this to go well, "I hear that you're looking for a battle, you're on!" I say with my best (Y/N) impersonation, "Great, I want a one on one Pikachu battle" the man says, "He bought it? He's not very bright is he?" I say to the other Pokémon around, they nod in agreement, "Alright, let's do this!" I say to the man, I'm going to butcher (Y/N)'s reputation, I hope to god something happens that will intervene the battle, "Please Pikachu, help" I whisper, he nods and gets ready to fight, "Alright, let's do this!" the man says, the battle starts and he makes the first move, which is quick attack, he then uses dig and I don't know where he will come out from, then I remember what (Y/N) used to defeat Bunnleby with in his gym battle with Clemont, Pikachu used iron tail on the ground and it knocked Bunnleby out of the ground and caught it off guard, I used that move and it worked exactly as expected, "Now use thunderbolt!" I say, Pikachu uses thunderbolt that hits the enemy Pikachu good, it shakes its head ready for the next direction, "Serena?" Clemont asks, "Did you guys get the medicine?" I whisper, "Yeah, what's going on here?" Clemont asks, I explain and they head to the tent, all of a sudden Team Rocket intervenes and grabs both Pikachus, we fight back and then Team Rocket's machine gets hit by a water shuriken, it was (Y/N), he looked a lot better, what was in that medicine, "(Y/N)?" I ask, "So Serena, you battled for me in my place? Thanks" he says, we stop Team Rocket and we get both Pikachus back, "By the way Serena, you look pretty good in my clothes" he says grinning at me, I blush, he battles the rockstar guy and destroys him and then we head out on our way
