Chapter 16

I know it's been almost a whole year, sorry for the wait, thanks for sticking with me

(Y/N)'s POV
I wake up to see Serena sleeping soundly on my chest, next to me was Pikachu curled up into a ball, so cute, I don't want to move yet, I don't want to wake everyone up, then suddenly I hear soft groaning noises coming from Serena, she opens her eyes and looks up at me, she immediately smiles, "Morning beautiful" I say, "Morning" she replies booping me on the nose, "Ready to explore some more?" I ask, "Of course" Serena says, Pikachu stretches and yawns as he wakes up, eventually I get up and head downstairs, waiting for us was Kukui making pancakes, he slaps them down in a bunch of plates for us and tells us to dig in, after breakfast, Serena and I were going to go explore the area some more and Kukui gave me an Alolan pokedex, but then a Rotom went into the pokedex and became alive and was talking, "Hey there! I am Rotomdex!" It said, "What the?" Was all I could say, "That's new" Serena says, "Come (Y/N) and Serena, I shall guide you" Rotom says, we spend a couple days looking around, we run into a Rowlet that looked very hungry, Serena had some macarons so she gave him some, and it devoured them, then we learn that Rowlet was living with a
bunch of Pikipeks, Trumbeaks and Tucannons, they were also in need of food, so Serena and I decide to help them out and give them all the food they could ever need, and in the end the Rowlet wanted to come with me, of course I let it come along, it likes to sleep in my bag, and then the next day Serena discovered a Popplio that was dancing around in the water, it looked graceful and it attracted Serena, it was hesitant to communicate with us but it grew attached to Serena and wanted to come along with her, so now both of us have a new Pokémon with us, tomorrow I was going to be trying my hand at the first island challenge, I'm curious to see how this works, I hear it's really tough but I'm up for it

Meowth's POV
The boss was messaging us, he told us to go to Alola but he never told us why, then he explained it all, "That boy and his Pikachu has gotten in the way of my plans long enough! That's one of the reasons I sent you here, you're going to get rid of him" He says, "If I may ask, what do you mean by that?" James asks, "Take him out" the boss says coldly, I know we're meant to be criminal masterminds but this.. I don't think I agree with this decision, I could see that Jesse and James were a bit surprised by this too, "As you wish" we all say at once, "I'm counting on you, that boy is ruining my reputation, if you won't take him out, then I'll do it myself! And then, you will be next! Is that clear?" The boss asks, "Yes sir" we say, when the boss ends the call, we were all a bit horrified by his orders, "He wants us to.. kill the twerp" Jesse says, "Well.. orders are orders, even if we don't agree with them" James says, "But he's a kid, sure he's foiled our plans to steal Pokémon so many times before but he doesn't deserve to die" Jesse says, "What do you think about this Meowth?" James asks me, "This isn't right, we may be criminal masterminds, but we're not killers!" I say, "What do we do? If we fail then the boss we'll be coming after us too!" Jesse says, "We have no other choice but follow orders, even if we don't want to" James says

Serena's POV
These island trials seem tough, it seems so different than the gym battles we're used to, but I know that (Y/N) can do it, we were having dinner that Kukui made, I can tell I'm going to really like Alola, I get to travel around with my amazing boyfriend and continue my dream of being the best performer out there, there was just one problem, Lillie was obviously checking out (Y/N), and I'm not very happy about it, I know that (Y/N) is a very nice person and would never cheat on me, but I still get worried that maybe he'll find another girl, I think (Y/N) noticed that I was bothered by something because he seemed worried about me, after dinner, he confronted me about it, "Is something wrong Serena?" He asks, I sigh, "Well.. it's just Lillie, I think she has a crush on you, all she's been doing is checking you out, I don't like it" I explain, "Are you jealous?" He asks, "N-Not really" I say in denial, I don't want to seem like the overly jealous girlfriend, he just smiles at me and wraps an arm around me, "Don't worry, there's no need to be jealous okay? You're the only girl for me" he says kissing my cheek, I smile, "Thanks (Y/N), I'm sorry" I say, "Don't be, it shows you really care about me" he replies, "Of course I care about you! I love you more than anything else in the world!" I say, "Aww, I love you too, come here" (Y/N) says as we share a passionate kiss, "Pika.." Pikachu says, he looked as if he was weirded out by us, "Don't be dramatic! I see the way you act around Sylveon!" (Y/N) replies, Pikachu blushes as Sylveon wraps her ribbons around him, I giggle, the newest members of our team were confused, but they'll get used to it, I can't wait for what's to come, it's going to be so much fun, and I get to do it all with the love of my life
