NASCAR drivers have had their fare share of hard crashes. We have lost drivers, drivers who are injured, and drivers who have walked away safely. Guarantee safety has come a long way since the founding of NASCAR, but that doesn't mean drivers still don't take hard hits. The most recent one was when Kyle Busch took a hard impact into the inside wall at Daytona in 2015 in the Xfinity Series, he was out from towards the end of February to early May. He broke his leg and recovered for a long time, he won 5 races when he came back AND he won the championship. The next biggest hard hit we've seen is Austin Dillon at Daytona in 2015 which was in the summer race. Kevin Harvick got Denny Hamlin loose who got into Dillon which sent him towards the wall and some car sent him flying the catch fence and went into the catch fence upside down. When his car came back on the ground he was upside down, then Brad ran into some oil and hit Austin which sent him spinning for a little bit. The engine flew out of the car and landed in the grass, while Austin was having his crash everyone was trying to avoid him and caused a huge wreck, there were cars on fire and totaled. Luckily everyone walked away safely and no injures. If you want to see hardest crashes/ hits NASCAR drivers
