"We've been dating since our days in the Academy. Wow, what a long time, right?"
"Stupid, stupid, stupid." Ayame mumbled under her breath, picking at the grass beneath her frustratedly.
"Ayame-chan, what's wrong?" Naruto asked with a tilt of his head, his eyes softening at the sight.
"Stupid stuff." She continued to mumble.
"Like what?" The yellow-haired boy pushed, his ocean-blue eyes examining her features.
"My grandparents want me to take a.." She paused."A more fitting partner."
"So, what? A sparring partner?"
"A boyfriend."
Naruto's eyes widened in shock."A new boyfriend? Are you-"
"-I'm not doing it." The ombré-haired girl began to pick at the grass again.
"But if your clan wants it, then-"
"-Too bad!" She exclaimed, finally looking up at the boy."I already have a boyfriend who I'd much rather spend my life with and that I love."
He smiled."You love me?"
"Wasn't that obvious?" Ayame questioned.
"Not really.."
"Well, I love you."
