It's amazing how people change, is it not?

Dan was sat on his couch with Emily, the two cuddling while watching Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It was strange for Dan, though. He felt different.

It was a weird different though. He didn't exactly think much of Emily lately. Dan was busy with other things, like the GSA and school. Emily was a bit skeptical about the club and how Dan suddenly decided to join it.

It wasn't normal for Dan to just up and do something. He had to plan it and weigh out when he can put it into his schedule. When it came to the GSA, he just joined without a second thought.

After thinking for a while, Emily looked up at her boyfriend. Dan was watching intently as Harry saved Ron and the young girl in the lake. Emily sighed heavily, making Dan look down at her.

"You sigh like Matt," Dan chuckles.

"Who's Matt?" Emily asks confused. She doesn't know a Matt.

"Oh, he's in the GSA." Dan explains, still looking at the TV.

"You know," Emily says, sitting up a bit, "You talk about the club a lot. What are you even doing in there? Isn't it all just gay stuff?"

"No," Dan says, pausing the movie and turning towards his girlfriend.

Dan recently noticed how some people chose to talk about the LGBT community. It was all negative and he took a mental note on how many times a day he hears someone say "gay" as a negative term, or how some straight boys quote iDubbs and say "I'm gay" all the time. It really annoyed him more than it would before.

"Well what do you all do in there? It can't be anymore special than other clubs." Emily says, crossing her arms.

"Well, we help people who are struggling with their sexuality. Ever since we started opening up about the club, more people have been joining in a search for help. Phil tells people about different sexualities and explains them in a way I wouldn't have understood. We also plan on giving back to the community, so going to city events and doing community service." Dan explains. "It's more than just some 'gay shit'."

Dan turns back to the movie and plays it, only for Emily to quickly snatch the remote and pause it again, looking him dead in the eye.

"Why does this suddenly mean so much to you? You, you aren't gay are you?" She questions.

"I don't know if you noticed this, Em, but Joey is gay," Dan says, waving his hand in the direction of his little brother's door. "And I want to support him. It's called a gay, straight alliance for a reason. I can be straight and in there."

Emily huffs and crosses her arms, about to say something but Dan cuts her off.

"It's not like I am straight anyways," He mumbles.

"I'm sorry? I thought you said you weren't gay!" She asks, looking at him wide-eyed.
