"Hey check it out." Sophie said briefly looking at the wedding invitation.

"Keefe and Linh are engaged." She said. From where Fitz was pouring coffee he looked up momentarily. "Good for them. When is it?" He asked. Sophie was munching on heard breakfast so she transmitted the date to Fitz.

"That seems soon...Oh well Keefe has been planning the wedding and proposal for like three months." Fitz said. "Really?" Sophie asked. "Yeah. He didn't want Linh to stress, all she had to do was say yes, and they could get married like right away." Fitz said. "I heard he even asked Tam for permission." Sophie chuckled at the thought of both guys having a face off. "He even had me help pick out a necklace for her." Fitz said with an eye roll. "That's where you two went last week?" Sophie asked. Fitz nodded as he sipped his coffee, bring Sophie a mug.

Sophie hadn't slept in her bed for the past month, sharing with Fitz was just fine with her. Only few nightmares came, and when she woke up Fitz was there to soothe her fears away with cuddles, and short kisses. "She'll probably call me and Biana for girl time." Sophie said, as she became less sleepy at the thought of spending time with her friends. "Us guys will probably hang out here...unless you girls wanted to stick around here." Fitz said.

"We'll probably go to Rosen or Eternalia." Sophie said. Fitz yawned as he sat at the table next to her. "Keefe has been employing, my help with wedding plans, Dex and Tam got dragged in too, so we're just making some last arrangements." Fitz said. "Who knew planning a wedding could be so...exhausting." Sophie took his hand with a smile. "Can you survive today?" She teased. Fitz gave an exaggerated groan. "With last weeks assignment, with making an extra peace treaty with the ogres really wore me out." He said. "I don't know if I'll survive..." He said making his voice weak. Sophie rolled her eyes. "You did nothing on that trip." She pointed out. Fitz sat up straighter looking exasperated. "I'm joking." Sophie said quickly.

In a city as big as Ravagog, Sophie had found nearly every way to hurt herself without meaning to. Fitz had done more work than she had. Fitz smiled at her, "I know that." He said as he kissed her temple. "Did you want to go riding?" Fitz asked as she finished her breakfast. Having woken up later than usual, both of them were having brunch. The last assignment was so stressful, they had gotten home late last night, and crashed after Sophie sent in her report. "Sure." Sophie said as she pushed her empty plate aside. "Good. Cause I really wouldn't want Sully doing all that work for us, and not going riding." Fitz pointed out the window. Sophie felt a rush of affection for the gnome go through her.

Sully had saddled the horses, and was tethering them to the hitching post. Neither Fitz or Sophie had requested the horses, but it had become a habit to go riding in the morning, Sully must have assumed they were going riding. "Let's not keep him waiting." Fitz said as he stood. Sophie ran her tongue over her teeth, to be sure no food had been left in them. She took Fitz's hand, and they went outside to thank Sully.

Sully was the kindest gnome Sophie had ever met...besides Calla. Sophie waved to Sully, as she and Fitz rode away. Sully gave a toothy grin, and waved before going inside. "He's so thoughtful." Sophie said, turning straight in the saddle. "Yeah. That was nice of him." Fitz said, as he switched the reigns to one hand and held the other out to Sophie. Copying him, Sophie took his hand with her free one. Their fingers laced together as they rode side by side, they fell into a comfortable silence. "Sophie." Fitz said after some distance. Sophie looked over at him. He was staring thoughtfully at the saddle horn, his teal eyes were focused, and his fingers tightened. "What is it?" Sophie asked.

He swallowed before meeting her eyes. "Are you positive about this....about us?" He asked. Sophie stopped her horse, as Fitz's hand slipped from hers. He had to turn his horse around, before he returned to her side. "What happened?" Sophie asked. In all her life, Fitz had never doubted them.
