"Tak, Ida!.. Hvad er klokken??..." (Thank you, Ida!.. What time is it?..)

"Klokken er syv Prinsesse!" (It's seven o'clock, Princess!.)

"Det er stadig tigligt, Ida!.. Hvis du venligst, onsker jeg at ga tilbage til at sove!" (It's still early Ida!.. If you please, I want to go back to sleep!) then she immediately covered herself with a blanket.

"Min Prinsesse, Dronningen venter pa dig pa stuen! Hun sagde, at hun havde en vigtig ting at fortaelle dig!.. Sa venligst Deres Majestaet! Du er nodt til at komme op nu, og lave dig sev!.." "Okay..okay Ida! Jeg vil vaere der i et snuptag!.." (Okay..okay Ida!.. I'll be there in a jiffy!...)

I was taken aback by the fact that the Queen overheard my pathetic sentiments. Yeah!... pathetic, really. I guess, people may think that I may be that lucky!...

Being the next successor to the throne, the future Queen, and the next ruler of the country.

Yeah!... ruler!!!..not a protractor!!!.

But, somehow, as days rolled by, receiving a royalty treatment every now and then can be also a bit tiresome.

Belonging to a Royal Family entails so many responsibilities.

No freedom!...
No Privacy!.. Protocols.....
