Don't brush it aside like it's nothing
_______

Wonwoo had been walking through the forest when he saw the boy from the day before.

He was surprised to find himself walking up behind him.

Suddenly, the boy turned around and Wonwoo slightly moved back, prepared to run.

It looked like the boy was thinking of something to say and suddenly he just blurted out "Hey."

Wonwoo just stared.

"I brought you something," the boy in front of him said.

Confusion washed over him.

He brought something for him?

He was worried it might be something bad.

Had he come back to hurt him?

Suddenly the boy pulled clothes from his bag, handing them to Wonwoo.

Wonwoo stared directly into the boy's eyes, wondering why he had done this.

He didn't even know Wonwoo.

He saw the boy's cheeks dust a light pink, but he ignored it, continuing to stare.

"Do.. you need help putting them on?" The boy asked.

Wonwoo looked back down to the clothes in his hands, breaking the eye contact.

He shook his head and put on the clothes he had been given.

He took note that they were too big, but he would never complain about this.

It was the most warmth he had felt in a long time.

"Do you have somewhere to stay?"

The boy asked him.

Wonwoo was shocked, once again, by this stranger.

He built up the courage and answered.

"N-no.." Wonwoo had managed.

He hadn't talked much in a long while, he wasn't surprised he stuttered.

He was surprised he could talk at all.

"Would you like to stay with me for a while?"

Wonwoo was surprised for the hundredth time by that boy.

He had no idea how to respond.

It would be nice, staying somewhere besides the forest.

But what if this was a trap?

Suddenly fear washed over Wonwoo and he felt himself begin to run away again.

"Wait!" He heard the boy call out.

Wonwoo felt guilty, but he just kept running.

Why had the boy been sent here?

His second chance for freedom blown, Wonwoo fell to his knees on the forest floor.

He hadn't run that far, and he was hoping the boy hadn't followed him.

But to his dismay, he heard the now familiar voice behind him.

"I'm Mingyu, by the way.." The boy panted out.

Wonwoo stared at the ground, not answering.

He heard Mingyu moving and thought he was walking away, but when Wonwoo looked up, he saw Mingyu's legs in front of him.

He let out a sigh and Mingyu sat in front of him.

"I'm sorry for scaring you, if I did.." Mingyu said.

Wonwoo suddenly felt guilty for running.

Maybe Mingyu did mean well.

Wonwoo nodded in response.

Mingyu reached into his bag and pulled out what Wonwoo thought to be some dish and a bottle of water.

"Are you hungry?" Mingyu asked.

"You don't have to trust me yet.. but I want to make sure you're okay." Mingyu continued.

Wonwoo looked at Mingyu with sad eyes.

All the years out here and this never happened.

Mingyu opened his container of food and used chopsticks to pick up some.

He held it out to Wonwoo.

Reluctantly, after some pushing from Mingyu, Wonwoo took a bite of the food.

Mingyu smiled.

After a few minutes Wonwoo decided to try and speak again.

"M-..My name's Wonwoo."

Mingyu smiled fully, showing bright white teeth and pointy canines.

"Nice to meet you, Wonwoo."
