Sometimes you just can't have what you want

Wonwoo wasn't sure why, but he found himself waiting for Mingyu to come back.

In the past while he was here alone, waiting for anything, it felt like nothing.

But now he felt anxious. He wanted to see Mingyu.

It seemed like it was taking forever for Mingyu to come back.

Wonwoo had no sense for time, he lost counts of the days, the years, everything.

It's a wonder that he even managed to remember his own name.

Or had he?

Had he made it up?

It was best not to think of that, it would just make things more complicated for him.

Wonwoo sighed, already tired of waiting.

Something inside of him was telling him Mingyu was no good.

Another part was telling him he should have gone with him, Mingyu wouldn't come back.

The smallest little bit of him was telling him that it might be okay, he made the right choice.

Mingyu would return.

But he couldn't get himself to only believe that.

Either way, though, Wonwoo found himself climbing up the tree he had been coming to for years now.

He looked up towards the sky and saw that the sun was rising.

Maybe Mingyu would come soon.

Wonwoo wasn't sure why, but he was smiling.

He pulled the sleeves of the oversized shirt up and smiled again thinking about what Mingyu had given him.

Maybe this really was his chance.

Mingyu could help him.

Maybe he could even see his parents again, he could tell him he survived.

He passed the test.

He was here.

With that thought, he rested his head against the tree and fell asleep.

Sadly, though, unknown to Wonwoo, something would go bad again.
