Chapter 3 - The herd

It's been a few hours since Raven fell asleep her soft snores barely audible over the roaring engine's of the trucks

I slowly bent down and shook Raven's shoulder since her back was facing me I was quickly pinned down and had a knife to my throat

" my God 10k don't do that I could of killed you she groggily snapped

" sorry I was just gonna hit the hay and was gonna have you stay watch while Abby drove and Mack slept I said sitting up

" k here she said handing me the pillow and sleeping bag she stood up and scoped the area before sitting down

I laid on my back with my arm over my eyes before Whispering night Raven as I drifted off to a dreamless sleep

I quickly yawned before climbing through the sunroof of my truck almost landing on Mack

I quickly slithered into the passenger seat where I grabbed a granola bar and my water canteen

I quickly bid Abby a good-morning earning a nod and groggy good morning back from her before climbing back out through the sunroof and sitting in the bed of my truck next to a sleeping 10K

My personal radio started going off in my bag pocket waking up 10k

" Sniper Girl come in Raven do you copy Z's voice rang

" o my God Z it's been awhile what's wrong man I said in a hurry

" you have a massive herd coming your way a couple miles up the road take cover love you girl be safe and kill some zombie ass over and out Z he voice said half panicked

I quickly jumped half dived through the sun roof of my truck landing fully on a sleeping Mack

" owww what the hell he yelled while I ignored him grabbing the radio on my dash

" Warren do you copy this is a emergency do you copy

" loud n clear Raven Warren said quickly

" my friend called me in my personal radio there's a massive herd up the road we need to take cover I quickly said

" o my God your sniper girl my radio cut out the rest of the message pull over to the white house to our right her voice range with panic

" sniper girl A Abby said looking at me

" no time for that right now later all you want k Abb's I said before jumping out of the sun roof doing a flip and spinning around aiming at the herd

" how many 10k asked

" at least 50-75 I said putting my silencer on my rifle

He stood up and looked
" holy dip stick he whispered under his breath

" later we're talking about your language I said before popping a few Z's between the eyes

" whoa nice shooting 10k said before shooting a Z through it's temples

" come on guys this way Warren yelled with the rest covering Murphy's ass from Z's

" go I'll cover you Raven said quickly popping 4 Z's in the head with her rifle

" who will cover you I asked

" I will now go she yelled popping more Z's in the head as they got closer

I hesitantly jumped down shooting a Z blowing it's brains on the pavement
