Chapter 14 - Granddaddy's Farm ( pt1 )

Raven jumped down and started running around like a little kid the red of my bandanna popped out compared to her darker colored clothes

" what in the hell are you doing I laughed causing her to stop running

" O my lord did I just hear the great and famous 10k swear she said crossing her arms with a playful smirk tugging at her lips

I really wanted to kiss her but the group is here and watching so I know I can't unless I want everyone to know about us right now when we just started " us "

" so what your rubbing off on me deal with it I said before walking over to her side and giving her a hug while whispering in her ear

" you know what I was gonna ask for if I won ...... a kiss but I think I could still have that maybe later when we stop for the night

" sure sniper boy she said winking at me before running up to Warren

" O hey Raven what you need Warren asked in a gentle calming way

" I know this town I use to come here every summer there's a small shed on a farm north of here where my papa hid drums of gas for his truck and tractors

" 10k go with Sniper Girl and check out her papa's farm if it's a score send one of you back while the other protects the supplies Warren yelled

I ran to Moose and grabbed my bat since it was silent I figured it would do me some good since I gave 10k one of my Desert Eagles he didn't want to take it at first said I already gave him a knife and axe that I needed it

I finally got him to accept it where he now has it strapped to his thigh I've been working on slowly arming him the most out if my friends cause I can't lose him

After grabbing my bag and bat I ran over to a motorcycle in the ditch I piked the driver who was now a Z I felt a small pain cause I knew the kid Billy Miller he was a mean son of a bitch

" I give you Mercy I set you free I mumbled before pushing the bike up and onto the cracked paved road

" can you drive that Abby asked as she saw me checking it

" yes it was Billy's I stole it during the summers I spent here and lucky for me it's in tack I said while sitting down and turning the key it started up and a smile grew among my lips as it purred to life

" 10k your rides here Abby joked with him as I waved him over from Doc's side

he looked a little scared but slowly got on anyway after bidding our see you soon's I drove ahead towards my granddaddy's farm

I held on as tight as I could as Raven starting picking up speed dodging Z's

" 10 your hurting me she squeaked out in pain I quickly loosened my grip before mumbling my apologies

As we turned onto a dirt road the bike's engine started hissing steam came out from the engine I quickly got off

" fuck are you serious , really well fuck you to Apocalypse Raven yelled in anger before kicking over the now useless Motorcycle

She grabbed her bag and started slinking over into the shadows by the woods

I watched as 10k walked by the fields I loved his new clothes they were less undead bloody which made hugging him better

I looked down at my wrist seeing the bandanna bracelet causing me to smile I hadn't realized I had stopped until 10k grabbed my cheeks and kisses my lips it surprised me to I quickly warmed up to it

This wasn't one of his shy I love you kisses it was aggressive and passionate more like I love you so fracking much don't you ever forget that

After we broke away both of our faces were red we slowly intertwined our fingers as we walked to granddaddy's

" I'm telling you Mack there's something going on between Raven and 10k I whispered as we checked a local house

" their totally a couple , a sniper couple don't you see it Doc I yelled while grabbing a pack of Twinkies I found

" you are right the kids different with Raven she gives him a purpose for surviving for this cure

" he told me the only reason he was here was cause he wanted the vaccine the cure for Raven then you called the kid over Doc said

" fine you guys are right there's something going on with Raven and 10k Mack said finally agreeing with us as we left the house

As we walked up papa's driveway I was starting to get a feeling we were being watched

" 10 do you feel it to I whispered

" ya lets just check your farm out and leave he whispered back

Once the large white farm house came into view I couldn't help but smile

" 10 stay here for a second I'll run around back and check the shed I whispered before pecking his soft cheek and disappearing into the shadows

Once I made it to the small red and white shed I held out my dad's knife just like his rifle they don't leave my body ever

I slowly cracked the door opened no humans or Z's so I threw the door open and ran up to the barrels I pushed them around and found some were full others only part way

" all clear 10 I yelled to just as I yelled saw him smile and jog over to my side

" start that truck up I ain't leaving you here and I know you ain't leaving me we'll just have to get the gas ourselves I said as I threw a pair of keys at 10
