I heard the phone ringing, I quickly got up hoping it would be Sadie as it was now almost 5pm and she still wasn't home.
"Hello, Prudence Hart speaking" I said after picking up the phone
"Hi Pru, it's John" he spoke softly
I clenched my fists trying to contain my anger
"Hello? Are you there?" He said again
I sighed "what do you want John?"
"How are you feeling? Has Sadie came back yet?" He asked
"I'm fine. And no she's hasn't" I said bluntly
"Hmm, do you want to come meet me for a coffee? We can talk things through?"
I paused for a moment "okay fine"
He told me the address and said he would meet me there, I hung up and started getting ready to leave. I had no choice but to go because I couldn't just ignore him after all this had happened.
I put my shoes on and then left, walking to the cafe to meet John.

I arrived at the cafe and walked inside, seeing John sat alone at the back, I walked over to him and sat down
"Sooo" He said awkwardly
"You asked me to come here, what do you want?" I spoke
"We need to speak about Sadie" he replied
"We do, yes"
"Are you seriously mad at me Pru?"
"My name is prudence"
I could tell he was getting annoyed as he said "okay Prudence, why are you blaming me for this?"
"Well it is your fault John"
"Are you fuckin serious" he said quietly so the other people wouldn't hear us arguing, "you were the one speaking about it" he carried on.
"If you hadn't of shown up again then none of this would of happened" I snapped back at him
"I can't believe you right now. I asked you to come here so we could try and sort things out, not so that we would sit here and argue"
"Whatever" I muttered as I got up and left, leaving.
"Where are you going" he shouted to me
I ignored him and walked outside, making my way back home
"Prudence!" He shouted catching up to me
"Leave me alone John"
He caught up and was walking beside me
"We can't just leave it all like this" he said
"Just fuck off John, is wasn't difficult when you fucked off 15 years ago"
"I was young, I was in a band for god sake, I was an idiot and I'm fucking sorry for leaving you all those years ago"
"Your not sorry at all, all I ever was to you was just a stupid one night stand"
"That's not true"
"Just leave me alone John! Fuck off back to New York!" I shouted at him and carried on walking, leaving him behind.

I sat at home, alone still. It was now 9:32pm, I heard the door unlocking and I looked over, seeing Sadie walking inside.
I got up and walked over to her saying "where have you been Sadie?"
"I stayed at a mates, where's John?" She replied
"He left"
"Good" she said coldly as she walked up the stairs to her bedroom
"Are you staying in tomorrow?" It was Saturday tomorrow so she didn't have school
"Probably not" she said and then closed the door
I sighed and turned off the lights before walking upstairs to go to bed.
What have I done to deserve all this? Why is this all happening now?
