Chapter 7- Meeting ludo and toffee

I rushed outside and met Marco, our ride was already outside.
"You didn't give me long with him did you ludo." I met ludo inside and he smiled and shrugged.
"We got the poison early."
I beckoned Marco inside and he sat beside me.
"Hey marco." Ludo waved at him and he looked disgusted.
"Err, Hi?"
I laughed quietly and got comfortable.
~A few minutes later~
We arrived at the castle, I got out and Marco followed. He looked around in awe of the place.
"Wow." Were the only words that could escape his mouth.
Ludo dragged him inside.
Toffee was waiting in the hallway with a box secured with a lock.
"Show him to his room." Ludo whispered to me "He's staying here for a while."
"But he can't, he has school." I whispered back.
"Well he's going to have to, I'm going to explain everything to you later, it may sound confusing now."
I nodded.
"Hey Marco, wanna see your room?" I walked over to Marco.
"Wait, I'm staying?" Marco said quietly.
"Yeah, if you li-"
"I'd love to!" Marco shouted.
I laughed and showed him upstairs.
We sat down on his bed and he looked at me, "Karina, what's going on?"
"What?"
"It's like your hiding something from me." He looked sad.
"Marco, I can't do this anymore."
"Do what?" He looked over to me.
"Lie to you, you've done so much for me."
He shook his head "You were lying to me?!"
"Marco, ever since my parents died, I can't feel love for anyone, I feel like I'm alone all the time, but you opened up to me."
"And that's why you didn't go on a date with me?" He whimpered.
I nodded "I guess."
"And your here because, ludo wants to use his new potion thing to turn you into a magical being, I had to befriend you and make you come here." I sighed sadly.
"Wait what?!" Marco got up "what's so bad about becoming a magical being."
"It's probably going to kill you marco..."
He sat back down "Oh, why do you listen to them Karina."
"I don't know marco, but I don't want it to happen to you, just go home, don't worry about me." I stood up and cut him a portal with my dimensional scissors.
"Go through there, go home, please." I started to cry.
"But what about you..."
"It doesn't matter, now go before they come back."
I rubbed my eyes, marco turned around and smiled weakly before entering the portal.
