angelique's p.o.v.

As tears started forming into my brown eyes, I bit down onto my bottom lip as a heavy sigh escaped them. I hated seeing my mother fool around with different men every day as I always wondered if she even thought about dad. Sure I did believe in the after-life as I experienced plenty of encounters with spirits.

Snapping out of my thoughts, I realised I was near the sewers causing me to scrunch my nose. "Great," I whispered to myself. I got off my bike, letting it lean against a tree before walking over towards a large rock. Plopping myself down carefully another long sigh left my lips. I wiped my cheeks and looked around at the scenery, trying to ignore the shit smell.

"Where's the poison ivy?" A voice asked causing me to snap to my senses. I stood up, walking out from where I was.
"Nowhere," another voice spoke. My eyes widened a little and I kept myself hidden.
"Well I'm starting to get itchy," The voices continued to grow louder each time they got closer.
"Do you use the same bathroom as your mother?" I couldn't help but roll my eyes.
Of course, it was Richie and his friends. But what were they doing here?
"Sometimes yeah..."
"Then you probably have crabs."
"That's so not funny!"

As I stepped out carefully, I couldn't help but giggle. The four boys, that I recognised were Eddie, Richie, Bill and Stan, snapped their heads over to me. "What are you guys doing in there?" I asked, only now noticing that Richie and Bill were actually inside the sewer.

Stan shrugged. "Checking for Georgie," he answered as I stood beside him.
"Aren't you guys coming in?" Richie wondered and both Eddie and I shook our heads quickly.
"No... it's greywater."
"What the hell is greywater?"
"It basically piss and shit, I'm just telling you!" Eddie scoffed, raising his hands in defence. "You guys are splashing around in millions and gallons of derry pee..."

The boy with glasses picked up a stick that had been resting under the water, bringing it up to his nose and sniffing it. I cringed.

"Are you serious right now?" Yet again, Eddie made a gagging noise quietly behind me.
"Doesn't smell like caca to me señor!" Richie smirked at me which caused me to roll my eyes.
"Have you ever heard of a staph infection?" The small boy asked.
"Oh I'll show you a staph infection" Richie smirked.

As Eddie continued to ramble on, Bill held up a shoe and said something which had caught our attention. It sure made Eddie shut up. A small gasp left my lips and I shook my head, "is that..." I trailed off.

"Georgie wore-" Bill started but I quickly cut him off.
"It might not be Georgie's Bill," I said softly.

There were a few seconds of silence before words fell out of Richie's mouth again. "It's Betty Ripsons."

I sighed heavily, closing my eyes for a split second, muttering some profanity under my breath before I heard splashes from the river that flowed along beside us. I flinched a little, looking over to my left only to see a slightly familiar face. Eddie and I both winced, running over with Stan as we checked on him.

"Holy shit, what happened to you?!" Richie exclaimed. I scolded at the 'four-eyed' boy before him and Bill joined our sides, helping the boy up.

"What the hell happened?" I asked, my voice slightly demanding to figure out but also quite soft. I noticed a red patch by his shirt causing me to become curious as I slowly lifted the shirt carefully.

Eddie, of course, let out a small 'oh my god' as we all noticed an H that was engraved into the boy skin with what seemed like a switchblade. Or some sharp knife/glass. I helped the boy up, Bill helping as we headed over towards where their bikes were. Some reason, I noticed Richie looking quite angry.

Ben was the new kid's name, which we later found out once we biked to town and into an alley near a pharmacy, sat down on a small wood while the others leaned their bikes up against the wall. "Richie, you stay here. We'll go in and get the supplies," Bill said before the boys ran into the pharmacy. I except walked behind, crossing my arms over my chest.

As I stepped inside, a small grin appeared on my lips as I noticed a certain redhead talking to the three boys.

"We need some s-s-supplies but we don't have enough money," Bill stuttered out. Beverly parted her lips to say or suggest something but she closed it after as I stepped beside her. I gently nudged her before we linked arms and made our way to the front.

"I like your glasses, Mr Queen," I said as we stood across from the pharmacist -- also known as Greta's father. I leaned over, my arms resting on the table while both Bev and I have the same cute and innocent yet flirty expressions on our faces.

If I was being honest, I wanted to completely throw up. This man was nearly sixty and Bev and I are flirting with him.

Just to get supplies for the boys.

"Oh, yeah, I agree. You look just like Clark Kent," Beverly said copying my actions. He chuckled a little, shaking his head a bit.
I bit my bottom lip as I tried being more... appealing. "Do you mind if I try them on?" I asked, giggling after.

Mr Queen smirked and nodded his head slowly, handing the glasses over towards me. I grabbed them carefully and set them on, looking up at the elder before looking over at Bev. I giggled again and handed them over to Beverly, taking a look around as she set them on.

The redhead tilted her head to the side, looking up at Mr Queen. "What do you think?" She asked with a smile. It was fake of course but the worker didn't know that.

"Well, how 'bout that," he said leaning on the counter to causing me to stand up properly just so we didn't have to be face to face. "You look like Lois Lane..."

I watched as Bev smiled, even more, batting her eyelashes. She reached her hand out to hand it back but her hand hit the small cigarette stand causing it to fall over. "Bev!" I whined out, shaking my head.

"I'm so sorry!" She apologised, pouting.

The elder male had only shaken his head while he kept the smile, reaching down to pick it all up.

I turned my head quickly and gave a nod to the guys, watching them scurry out the door. I smiled as they bumped into a few things, shaking my head and looking back at what was happening currently. I have Beverly a small warning look when I noticed her take a packet of cigs. I never was a fan of them if I was being honest.

Once the two of us were finished, we were quick to walk over the door only to immediately burst out into laughter. "That was probably the best but also the grossest thing ever," the girl beside me said, both of us continuing to laugh. I noticed Bill's eyes kept on Beverly so I went the other way and joined the boys who were working on Ben.

"You okay now?" I asked softly, smiling. I got a nod in response, not failing to catch Richie's eye roll.
