The greatest gift my parents ever gave me, is my brother.

"My brother."

The words stumble out my mouth and in that very moment, I felt as if my heart was going to give out. Levi speaks, but my brain can't process the words he's saying.

"I'll be back," I say to him as I run in the same direction my brother did. My eyes scan around the club searching for him.

I caught sight of him walking out of the club, and quickly followed behind him.

"Simon wait!" I yell, desperation clear in my voice. He stops dead in his tracks and slowly turns to me. His brown eyes stare into mines, with pure hatred. Hatred I couldn't even blame him for having. His features are so much like Ford's, that I visibly cringe.

"What do you want Diana?" Simon asks. His voice has changed over the past few years. Puberty has done him well.

"I...I just wanna talk." I stuttered.

Simon scoffs. "You wanna talk, after all, that you've done."

"Simon if you w..."

"You left me!" Simon yelled. "You left me in Rimgrove, with those people!"

"I'm sorry... I wasn't thinking."

"You were thinking, you were thinking about yourself and yourself only."

"That's not true." I shrieked.

"Yes, it is Diana. You've been selfish since we were kids." Simon says, this time walking at a faster pace.

"Would you please let me explain."

Simon turns to me again, this time standing far away as possible. "There's nothing to explain. You made me a promise...then you broke that promise, end of conversation."

That was the breaking point of my patience. At that moment, I was blinded by a five-course serving of rage that tasted bitter, yet surprisingly satisfying. My hand reached out and connected with his face.

Simon stumbled a little, his hand held his cheek. I gasped realizing what I've just done.

"It's funny how you hate Ford so much, but you're just like him," Simon says, looking down at me with hard eyes. "I guess it's true what they say. Like father, like daughter."

Simon walks away, and this time I don't try to stop him. I let him go. Tears fell from my eyes, and I quickly wipe them away. He's right, I'm just like Ford.

"You okay?" I heard a voice ask. Levi's arms wrap around me, pulling me up in the process. He walks us over to some benches and seats us. "I heard Y'all speaking...."

"You mean, you were snooping."

Levi rolls his eyes. "Same thing." He says. "It was wrong of you to slap him."
