Two weeks later-

The world is a blur, and so is sound. The taste. The smell. Everything was just gone. It's been two weeks since she died. Two weeks since she told me she'dbe safe. Two weeks since I hugged her boney body. I don't know what to feel. It's like everything I want to feel, died that day.

A knock sounds at my hotel door, but I ignore it. I couldn't bring myself to do anything right now. My head rests on the wall as I sit on the floor and stare out the window. The Skyscrapers stand tall and reflect the sun. People walk, getting to where they need to be and cars were stuck in traffic.

She would like this view.

The door to my room opens and I don't even bother to see who it is. Footsteps make themselves known as whoever they belong to walk to me.

"Diana?" Simon calls, as he sits down by me. "You're not even dressed yet. We're going to be late."

I wipe a tear away with the back of my hand. "I don't want to go Simon."

Simon sighs. "Diana, it's Skyler's funeral you have to go."

"I don't want to go!" I yell, tears falling from my eyes. "She's dead because of me! I knew if I involved her into this stupid lifestyle something bad would happen to her."

"Diana, it's not your fault," Simons says.

"It is Simon. I sent her out there alone." I cry. "I'm the one that basically killed her."

"Look at me." Simon forces my chin up and stares at me. His honey brown eyes penetrating mine. "It's not your fault she's dead. It's Ford's fault, ford is the one that killed her. Not you." He says. "Come on, let's get ready for the service. Skyler's mom would be devastated if you weren't there."

I felt an uneasy feeling in my stomach. Quickly rising to my feet, I run towards the bathroom. Reaching the toilet bowl, vomit splatters from my mouth and into the toilet. When done, I brush my teeth and walk back to my room.

"That's been happening a lot." Simon states.

Putting on my black dress, I turn to him. "Doesn't concern you." Slipping on my black pumps, I grab my purse. "Let's go."

🌤

The sky was grey and the wind blew lightly. It looks like it'll be raining soon. Everyone stood outside the graveyard, waiting for the service to start. The funeral was all black and red. Skyler's two favorite colors. The red casket was just a few feet away from me. I fought so hard to keep my tears at bay.

"Diana?" A voice says, causing me to look up. I smile small, standing up to greet the brunette, haired woman. She wastes no time, pulling me into a big hug. "I'm glad you could make it." Skyler's mom, Charlotte says.
