Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to a new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile.

Four days later-

How do you get over a death?

I mean, is it even possible?

Sure over time, we slowly start to heal from the wound of losing someone close to us. We realize that everyone deals with death differently and that it's okay to let yourself be vulnerable. But do we ever truly get over a death? I'd like to think not. I think that the second you get over death is the second you forget about the person you lost.

I'll be damned if I ever forget about Skyler Evans.

"God I miss her," I whisper, quietly to myself. It was only midnight and I couldn't sleep. So I decided to get a snack, which lead to me be being on this couch eating my night away.

"We all do," Barry says, taking a seat on the couch by me. He sticks his hand into my bag of Doritos and pulls out some chips. His brown eyes stare into mine as he chews loudly.

"Don't eat my chips." I frown. "How did you even hear that? And why are you up?"

"I have good hearing. And I couldn't sleep due to all the smacking I was hearing."

Rolling my eyes, I sat up. "Whatever." We sat in a comfortable silence, not knowing what to say. "You're graduating soon," I state, trying to start a conversation. "You have any idea what college you're going too?"

Barry sighs. "Nah, I have no idea. There's just so many options. And of course, I want to choose one that's close to home."

"Understood. You think you're gonna stay in a dorm while you attend?"

Barry hugs the couch pillow. "Depends on the cost, to be honest. I wanna be able to at least save some of the money Skyler gave me, even though half of it is going towards college."
