In the world of Mythos, there are many flora and fauna. Most of the plants in Mythos do not interact with anything, doing what plants normally do. However, on some islands, the plants grasp at you and try to pull you in, either simply to trap you, such as the wrapping vines of the Heartwood, or attack and claw you, such as the Skeleton Trees of Nightmare Isle. With the fauna, or the animals, the split is more or less even between passive and aggressive. All creatures in Mythos can be divided into 3 categories: Natural, Magical, and Titan.

Natural animals are beings such as mice, cats, and wolves, everyday animals that are in no way powerful or bizarre.

Magical animals are things like dragons and chimeras, and creatures such as the Shimmerlings of the Heartwood. Creatures that one can summon are also in this category.

The final category, Titans, are immortal creatures that are basically more powerful version of other creatures. An example of a titan would be Phobos, the Bronze Beaked, a giant bird made entirely of metal. Each island has at least 2 titans, and no matter what you do, the titan will never die. They can be wounded beyond imagination, and they would still live.

Each creature has a brief description given in the entry that corresponds to their native island. However, some creatures may be mentioned more than once, especially if there is a slight variation between two different species of the same animal, such as fur patterns or coloration, in which case extra information may be available.
